Zoia has been my one-on-one Russian language teacher for nearly a year. At first we tried to connect by SKYPE but we had to downgrade to telephone, average about 4 hours per month. I am very happy with her instruction; Russian pronunciation is not easy and she drills me relentlessly; never allowing a mispronunciation to slip by. She makes the language come alive with anecdotes and grammatical explanations. She knows a lot about art and literature, far more than I do. I always look forward to our lesson. Usually I terminate the lesson after about 1 1/2 hours because I am tired; Zoia's energy seems endless. I also use her You Tube Russian lessons - she has a great deal of material on You Tube (Zoiacalifornia).

I studied ESL with Zoia in Pomona, California. She is the best teacher ever! She explains grammar very well! It's a pity I moved too far from Pomona! Recommended to everybody who wants to learn language well.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I teach on agreement with the student. If a student has scanty financial resources I would teach as low as he or she can pay - to the sensible extent.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. I read non-stop in three languages, and I concentrate on making my Spanish fluent, and I stay abreast with the news in my professional fiels, as well as the world and the country news. I am also interested in a funny and entertaining things, while continuing my writing projects in three languages. The last but not least - I am a member of professional virtual groups, and I have business and friendly correspondents in three cultures/languages: English, Russian, and Spanish.
