Amy fell in love with strength training during her high school Volleyball team’s off-season, where they were introduced to the weight room. She loved the way that strength training made her feel strong and powerful. She felt more confident, empowered and started to see her body for what it could do, rather than what it looked like. With a passion for health and fitness, it was natural that Amy got certified to be a personal trainer in her senior year of college while pursuing her pre-med degree. She loved introducing her fellow college women to the weight room, where it was 95% male (read: frat bro) dominated. She loved helping them feel comfortable, not intimidated and confident enough to return to the weight room on their own. She has been coaching clients for 7 years and lives for getting her clients stronger, healthier and more confident. Her favorite part of coaching clients is seeing the way that building strength and confidence in the weight room oozes out into other areas of her client’s life. If you’re thinking about training with Amy - just do it because it is so worth it! Training with Amy was my first time working 1:1 with a personal trainer and she was the absolute best. She has a super comforting presence and knows when to push you (I started off with 10 pound dumbbells to lifting 145 pounds!!). & Time went by FAST training with her because not only was I putting in work, but we were also always laughing and just having a good time. I had never consistently worked out before, but always wanted to and she set me up for success to make this a long-term lifestyle. Now I actually want to work out and found a routine that’s enjoyable. Amy will forever have a special place in my heart for motivating me to work out, stick with it, and find enjoyment in being active :)

I got out of the habit of working out and needed some extra motivation and accountability, so I decided to train with Amy for a few months. We often met early mornings (6am! In the dark!) at a park near my house. She was always on time with a smile on her face, and she always came prepared with a great workout. Her strength training workouts were thoughtful and varied, but never too complicated. Amy has a sweet personality and was easy to work with. I appreciated that she offered exercise ideas for days I wasn't training with her, nutrition advice and encouraging tips on how to stay motivated. She has a very sensible, realistic approach to health - no extremes, which I liked. She made living healthy feel very approachable and doable. If you want some help with your fitness or health goals, work with Amy, you won't regret it!

I'm grateful I found Amy to help me with my fitness/health goals. I started training with her almost two years ago and stayed because I finally have the support that works for me. Now I am stronger and more confident than I ever have been - she tailors workouts and health coaching to my own experience, values and injuries. I have tried many fitness challenges, diets, etc. but they've all been ineffective as sustainable lifestyle or fitness goals. She's also a pleasure to be around! Always positive, professional, kind, and easy to talk to!

I have been working with Amy in the transformer program for four months. It has exceeded my expectations. Her programming is creative and she is very responsive when I ask questions. I have learned so much about form and feel so comfortable now walking into any gym and getting a good workout. Looking forward to more PR’s and lifelong stability and strength thanks to Ladies Who Lift.

I was extremely grateful to have found Amy while on my hunt for a personal trainer. She was easy to communicate with & offered a variety of ways to train, whether it be online, in her personal gym space or at home. She made me feel very comfortable and listened to my goals and areas to focus on - I truly enjoyed our sessions. I watched myself progress & even did my first pull up after several weeks of training (it was a big moment for me). It feels really good to feel strong, mentally & physically. I highly recommend personal training - it's 100% worth it if your like me, and need the one on one guidance and motivation.
