Introduction
Amy fell in love with strength training during her high school Volleyball team’s off-season, where they were introduced to the weight room. She loved the way that strength training made her feel strong and powerful. She felt more confident, empowered and started to see her body for what it could do, rather than what it looked like. With a passion for health and fitness, it was natural that Amy got certified to be a personal trainer in her senior year of college while pursuing her pre-med degree. She loved introducing her fellow college women to the weight room, where it was 95% male (read: frat bro) dominated. She loved helping them feel comfortable, not intimidated and confident enough to return to the weight room on their own. She has been coaching clients for 7 years and lives for getting her clients stronger, healthier and more confident. Her favorite part of coaching clients is seeing the way that building strength and confidence in the weight room oozes out into other areas of her client’s life. What do I like about working with Amy? EVERYTHING. Working with Amy on intuitive eating and fitness was the best decision and purchase I made in 2021. She is professional, timely, detailed, thoughtful, responsive, dedicated, passionate, and so much more. She helped me heal my relationship with food and change the toxic thoughts I had about dieting, body image, and working out. Her sessions feel like therapy. She truly cares about her clients and their WHOLE life from relationships, work-life balance, sleep schedule, mental health, etc. The growth I made with her was life-changing. She helped me create habits that I will carry for the rest of my life and be healthier in all ways because of it. I love Amy!

I'm grateful I found Amy to help me with my fitness/health goals. I started training with her almost two years ago and stayed because I finally have the support that works for me. Now I am stronger and more confident than I ever have been - she tailors workouts and health coaching to my own experience, values and injuries. I have tried many fitness challenges, diets, etc. but they've all been ineffective as sustainable lifestyle or fitness goals. She's also a pleasure to be around! Always positive, professional, kind, and easy to talk to!

Amy was an incredible coach! She provided me with tools and resources to create not only an enjoyable/healthy relationship with food and exercise, but a sustainable structure that I can take with me for the rest of my life. Her wholistic approach combined with her compassion for helping people was inspiring! I can't recommender her enough!

My experience with Amy is purely in a group fitness setting in Chicago a few years back. She was professional, empowering, encouraging, knowledgable, and positive during her classes. She is one of the only trainers I have ever taken class with that consistently preaches to get out of your comfort zone and try something new. Not only did she provide the encouragement to do so, she celebrated your wins with you no matter how small or large. Amy's passion for fitness and health shined through every single class she taught, and I made every effort to take her classes on a weekly basis. I was absolutely crushed when she moved to CA, but I have thoroughly enjoyed watching her advance her career in fitness, health, and wellness. You will not regret working with Amy!

I got out of the habit of working out and needed some extra motivation and accountability, so I decided to train with Amy for a few months. We often met early mornings (6am! In the dark!) at a park near my house. She was always on time with a smile on her face, and she always came prepared with a great workout. Her strength training workouts were thoughtful and varied, but never too complicated. Amy has a sweet personality and was easy to work with. I appreciated that she offered exercise ideas for days I wasn't training with her, nutrition advice and encouraging tips on how to stay motivated. She has a very sensible, realistic approach to health - no extremes, which I liked. She made living healthy feel very approachable and doable. If you want some help with your fitness or health goals, work with Amy, you won't regret it!
