Ted’s Fingerstyle Guitar

I teach fingerstyle guitar. I’m not the usual guitar pal who will show you how to play this lick or that, and just strum chords. My students learn the real thing: how to read music, coordinate all their fingers on both hands, rhythm, etc. Many guitar instructors don’t lay the foundation for students to play the guitar with REAL skill. The way I teach and what I will teach you will make it so that no matter what genre, style, etc. is thrown your way, you will have no trouble. My method avoids the holes in technique and form most guitarist suffer from. I believe that correct classical technique and a solid foundation in music theory set the student up to be successful in any style of music they choose to play. I personally also play blues, rock’n’roll, jazz, funk. And at an appropriate point in our studies together, I look forward to sharing those styles with you as well.
