Our first tax experience with Daniel was flawless from start to finish. He offered very competitive pricing for preparing our taxes and was able to accommodate myself and my husband at a moment's notice. The same day I contacted him, he was able squeeze in our 2 separate returns. Daniel was very professional overall but really just a down to earth type of person. He was very easy to speak with and for the first time in many years, I didn't feel nervous or awkward about getting my taxes done with someone new. After speaking with my husband a little more, he was able to ask about further expenses he had made throughout the year and because of those expenses, Daniel was able to get him a return instead of owing. If you're a new 1099 - you'll learn really fast that there's a lot more to learn about being one than you thought. Period. (Including the fact that most regular tax preparers/CPAs/etc. aren't interested in dealing with or don't know as much about 1099 situations). Joan didn't just help EDUCATE on need-to-know points about how 1099s work, she also tries to keep you in a place where the IRS isn't red flagging you (while maximizing deductions at the same time). Invaluable asset in clearing up the mysteries behind being a new 1099 - including how to deal with any shock surprises that you might encounter in the first year. Highly detailed and very helpful in teaching you the ropes, which is above and beyond in my book. Highly recommended if you just can't find a tax person that knows what to do with a 1099.
