Movers were on time and well equipped with gear and supplies to move everything inside my apartment. Professional, friendly, hardworking guys. The move took exactly what it was estimated to take and there were no surprise costs. All around a good moving company. Will likely use again if I decide to move in the future.

Tony and his crew were outstanding. Tony was honest and fair, didn't try to upsell or add hidden charges, they showed up on time, and his team was very polite and efficient. Wrapped everything that need protecting, nothing was broken or damaged, no damage to the property. They thought about and asked about where things should be placed when they moved furniture in. Very professional, and exactly what you want in movers. Although I hope to not move again for a long time, these are the movers I'll call if I do.

All Round Professional Moving Company sent two guys to handle my long distance move. From Long Beach, CA to the Bay Area. I spent a lot of time talking to Jane who was extremely helpful and explained things like 'double-drive time.' One of the requests I had was that the movers pick my stuff up and drop it off the same day. It's about 5 1/2 hours driving time which they were able to accomodate. I agreed to pay a flat a rate of $1,700, and if the movers took longer than 6 hours to load and unload I would be charged additional fees per hour over. We agreed to have the movers start between 7 am - 7:30am. They should up at 7:45 which was fine because they started the time once they begun. The movers brought boxes, wardrobe boxes, blankets, plastic wrap, tape and dollies. I did most of the packing myself the night before. They used blankets and plastic wrap to protect my furniture. I offered them coffee and waters but they only wanted water. They didn't stop for breaks once. They finished loading at 9:20 am. They arrived at my new place at exactly 6pm. Unloaded within 2 hours so I wasn't charged extra hourly rates. The only thing could've gone better is the payment. When I booked the move I was charged a 50$ deposit to hold my appointment with them. I was told that I would be charged the flat fee we agreed upon later that day; but that didn't happen. Due to work I had to stay in Long Beach for a couple extra days so I did not follow them to my new home. My parents instead were there to help them out. Once the move was finished, the movers asked my parents to pay them. Then played phone tag for the next 20 minutes and spoke to three different people on when I was going to pay. One of the managers called me and said I needed to fill out a payment authorization form. Which I wasn't able to do because it was Sunday at 8pm and I didn't have a computer with me. Long story short I gave them my card number over the phone and had my parents fill out the rest of the form and then texted a picture of the form to the manager. It would've been easier if they had just charged me from the beginning or gave me the form to fill out when I saw them that morning. Other than that everything was great. I haven't seen or inspected my stuff yet but nothing was broken as far as I know! I would definitely hire them again!

Mike & his team were phenomenal! They far exceeded my expectations and took great care with my belongings during my long distance move from LA to SF. They came and packed up my apartment the day before the move, then loaded up the truck, drove to SF and unloaded the truck all in one day. I never imagined moving could be as painless as this move was! Thank you 5 Star Moving!

I recommend OC Long Distance Moving. They showed up on time and worked efficiently. Their communication with me was good, and there were no misunderstandings. They even dealt with my fussy Beverly Hills HOA. They went the extra mile and did a first-rate job.

We had such a great experience! My husband and I did a long distance move from Los Angeles to Portland for law school. I was pretty nervous about which movers to go with — you are entrusting your entire life’s belongings with them so did extensive research on every option from large moving companies to PODS to UHauls. We were also pretty budget conscious so were shocked at the prices we kept getting back. But when I got the quote from I Need To Be Moved I was excited but honestly a little skeptical because of the affordability compared to everyone else. Plus I’ve dealt with so many scammers online I really wanted to do my due diligence. Their front office was incredibly kind and patient, answering all our questions, providing referrals and video testimonials that made us confident enough to move forward. The moving team was so professional. They clearly take their job very seriously and treated our belongings with the utmost care. The team even drove hours out of their way en route to Portland so as to avoid the wildfires (which we hadn’t even thought to ask about). I couldn’t recommend this company more. I know moving is a really high stress experience but I Need To Be Moved made the transition painless.

After weeks of trouble with our long distance moving company, Cloud 9 movers were able to step in and save the day delivering our things into our home. Dwayne and Pedro were great, professional, and helped us unwrap and assemble furniture pieces taken apart by the first company, fold moving blankets for the first company to collect, move boxes around so we could find the things we wanted to unpack first, and take recycling to an outside dumpster. This move has been very stressful for us, and having movers who were calm, helpful and in good spirits was much appreciated. All our items were handled with care and placed where we requested. Price was very reasonable. They were late to the meeting site, but we hired them only 4 hours before the move was to take place, and the driver of the original truck our stuff was on refused to give an ETA so given those facts, it's amazing Cloud 9 was able to help us at all. Would hire again for local or long distance moves.

My wife and I recently moved from Anaheim Hills to Coto De Caza. We have a tremendous amount of "stuff" and wanted to make sure it would not get damaged in the move. After reading a number of furniture mover reviews, we chose SAFE N FAST MOVERS . This is one of the best decisions we have every made. Amir came out to my home to survey what we had and gave me a very acceptable estimate to make the move. I asked about insurance options and he explained the coverage he has for his trucks, movers and customer's contents. He said the insurance is figured in the price. I was amazed at the insurance coverage he was providing us. We had Safe N Fast Movers pack us. Four workers spent two days packing up our stuff. They packed our items as if they owned them. They were so careful with the packing! It took two days to actually move us. Safe N Fast Movers arrived on time at 8:00 AM and they proceeded to wrap all of our furniture and appliances. Marcus was the on-location foreman/mover he worked with during the move itself. What a wonderful employee! Marcus and his crew were amazing, handling very heavy and delicate "stuff". It all arrived in perfect shape. I rarely do reviews. Most of the time my reviews would have "average" ratings so I just didn't bother to do a review. Safe N Fast Movers were so amazing, from beginning to end of this move, that I really want to tell everyone, if you need to move and you want your stuff to arrive in same condition it left in, call SAFE N FAST MOVERS. They are the SAFE and FAST company to move you.

Recently I decided to upgrade an old set of furniture in my house 🏡 And it took me a while to find what I liked 😍 And since the store was far away in Long Beach (I live in We/Ho) they couldn’t provide the next day delivery, so i needed to get movers right away. Friend of mine moved about a week ago and she texted me the phone number of her movers. The tough part was that I had some stuff needed to be in the morning, so I guess it was irregular situation for them to pick up my new set of furniture without me being present and then meet me in my house 🏡 So I glad they could do it and there was no extra charges for going this extra mile. The lead man called me and informed that they had already signed release form and would start loading right away. Right at 12pm as we agreed they had arrived and gave me a call to meet them outside and show where to park. No more then 45min later they were done 😍and I felt so happy 😁 Great moving experience all around, very punctual, on time and most importantly reliable! Will definitely contact them again when moving services required!

We were scheduled for a move with another mover who backed out on us during the busiest month. We were scheduled to go from Missouri to New York. Rose answered our Thumbtack request and helped within hours, by the next morning next morning we had everything finalized. We booked within 24 hours had a full pack move and 3 days later we had peace of mind within 5 days from day of being packed the truck arrived. The crew came out to pack us and I was very worried that something would go wrong. The foreman Mario was beyond wonderful with the 5 other guys. We were fully packed loaded in two days. (it was a long two days but it was done). Our estimate was just about 98% on. Mimi called to set our delivery schedule and Rose kept us updated throughout the 5 days on where the truck was, when to expect them to arrive in Upstate New York. Our move was about 1300 miles and I have to say, it is not every day a company returns calls at 11:00 pm at night when you realize a tractor trailer will not be able to access the street to deliver. Rose called us back within 15 minutes and said she would make sure it was taken care of before delivery at 10:am in the morning. We had 17,000 pounds plus moved and NOT one item damaged. If anyone has questions message me. My husband is a Attorney with nothing but praise. Thank you all for a Happy Move!

Dear Trisdan and Mary: Thanks for arranging our home move on 9 Sep. You both made it seem simple, but the difficult project went reassuringly. As you know, moving is an arduous process, but we see ATM as coming through on all accounts. The referral to ATM given us by our agent Jeff Solomon was worthy and appreciated. In particular we'd like to compliment the crew that handled our belongings. Richard, Manny and Justin were hard-working and pleasant to deal with throughout the busy day. The made no mistakes, and caused no damage. But mostly we'd like to praise the driver-leader Matt Premo, whom we view as the key to it all. Matt knows moving, both from the physical and the customer aspects. My wife and I managed an 11 acre storage facility for four years. Besides the huge storage yards, the main 5 storey building allowed tractor trailers to be driven through, and also accommodated semi-trucks on its roof. We became acquainted with all aspects of short, long-haul and interstate moving. There are a lot of professional, meticulous drivers out there who earned our admiration and appreciation, and Matt Premo ranks among that top tier. Matt is a natural leader, and the crew followed his instructions and procedures with enthusiasm. When problems arose, they sought his input before making what would have been mistakes. Matt also gave us several useful suggestions that saved us time and protected our valuables in transit. We felt fortunate to have Matt oversee the relocation of our precious stuff! Thanks for a wonderful move. best regards, Derrick

Best Long Distance Moving Services in Los Angeles and the US.

Planning a long distance move from Los Angeles to another part of the country (or the world) can be very stressful. This is not something that you want to handle on your own. Even one seemingly little mistake can end up costing you a lot of money, time or difficulty. Here at Long Distance Moving Corp we have helped hundreds of individuals, families and businesses with their long distance move and we would love to help you as well.

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost for long-distance movers?

Long-distance movers transport your belongings across the country for you. No more renting a trailer and road-tripping from state to state with your entire house hitched to your bumper. Long-distance movers make the move happen so you can fly to your new home, suitcase in hand, and wait for your furniture to arrive. Nationally, the average price range for long-distance movers is $1,490-$2,230. The distance you are moving and the number of cubic feet the movers have to transport will both affect cost. Another factor in long-distance moving costs is whether you choose to pay for an exclusive move or a consolidated move.

In an exclusive move, which is more expensive, your belongings are the only cargo on the moving truck. The movers travel directly to your new house and deliver your belongings on a scheduled day. A consolidated move is more affordable because the movers transport your belongings along with those of other people, saving them time and gas — which means you save money. The downside is that your belongings typically arrive with a two-week delivery window rather than on a prescheduled day. Read reviews to make sure you can trust the company with your possessions to ensure a peaceful moving process.

How much does it cost to move a one-bedroom apartment across the country?

Professional movers can handle the hard work of moving your one-bedroom apartment across the country for you. You can determine what your move will cost by learning the rate your movers charge per cubic foot and how they factor distance into the total cost. Cross-country movers typically charge based on your belongings rather than apartment size because that determines how much work they will have to do. For example, a studio apartment that is crammed full of things will take more work and moving truck space than the contents of a three-bedroom apartment with very little furniture.

Cross-country movers may also have varying rates, depending on where in the country you are moving. For example, a company may charge $5 per cubic foot for consolidated moves along the East Coast and $6 per cubic foot for consolidated moves from the East Coast to the central states or the West Coast. A one-bedroom apartment costs approximately $1,500 to move across the country.

How much does it cost to move across the country?

The national average cost for hiring cross-country movers is $1,490-$2,220. A number of factors can affect the cost. One factor is the distance you want to move. For example, an East Coast-based moving company may charge $5 per cubic foot for consolidated moves along the East Coast and $6 per cubic foot for consolidated moves from the East Coast to the central states or the West Coast. Another factor is how many belongings you have. Most cross-country movers charge by the cubic foot.

The type of move you want is another consideration in cost. You can have your belongings moved exclusively and delivered on a set day, or you can opt for a consolidated move, which is less expensive. In a consolidated move your belongings are stored and transported with the goods of other customers who are moving to your general vicinity during the same general time frame as you. Your belongings should arrive within a one- to two-week window, rather than on a set day. If you want the cross-country movers to pack your belongings for you, the cost will also increase.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
