- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received training to become a balloon artist at The Balloon Training Institute in Tennessee. Ive received trains as an Accredited Wedding and Event Designer at IWED. I’ve worked in customer service my whole career so I’m no stranger to pleasing the client! I’ve done a wide scope of events. I have at least 20 years of experience in the industry. I’m very passionate about what I do!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started by planning my own parties and my children’s parties. My biggest challenge was planning my own wedding and that was a success! That branched off to me doing parties for others and before I knew it I was in business doing something I love! I have done both planning and work a full time job until about two years ago I decided to go full time with planning. I began cooking as a child with my grandmother and later for my husband and children. I’m always getting request at family gatherings to bring my famous dishes and end up cooking just about everything and now it’s just the norm. Since I love to plan and host parties I Incorporated catering into my business.
