I also have my own cake person, photographer and florist along with my own crew of helpers, so you will get your refund/deposit back if you are at a venue.

We hosted a dinner/concert outdoor event in May for over 150 guests and we were very fortunate to find Creative Custom Catering. Owner Nae Barraza met with us to discuss every detail from tableware and menu options as well as answering all of our questions. Nae was very patient and understanding of all our needs every step of the way. The event was very successful and everyone enjoyed the excellent dinner and service provided by Nae and her staff. Nae was great to work with, was flexible with pricing and did her best to stay within our budget allotted for my dad's party. She's awesome.

I highly recommend Nae with Creative Custom Catering for any and all catering needs. Nae is very professional and accommodating. She provides personal service and truly cares about the customer. She even recommended a florist for our memorial service! Definitely a great 5 star business!!

My interaction with Nae before the wedding was very pleasant because she is a good communicator, she's nice, and makes you feel at ease about the catering going as planned. We attended a tasting and the food tasted really good, during the tasting she explained what came with the catering (e.g. Chargers, plates, silverware, drinking glasses, table cloths etc.) I was very happy I found her on thumbtack because she had amazing reviews and she is a very confident lady that makes you feel at ease. However, the day before my wedding when we started to set up (her crew didn't show up to set up for my wedding, my family, Nae and I did all the work) we noticed that the white table cloths she provided had stains on them and she simply replied "I had them dry cleaned before bringing them" she didn't bring me any clean ones so I had to use the stained table clothes. Then when my family and I started setting up the glasses, they were dirty with red wine dried at the bottom of the glasses. All the glasses had terrible fingermarks all over them. We notified her and she had her crew wash them the next day (as a result the tables were not set up by the time the guest arrived, they were rushing to place the glasses on the table). Also I was supposed to have silver glitter chargers on all the tables, but she had a mixture of silver chargers that did not match. Also, two of my tables were missing chargers (some of the chargers were in horrible quality they were peeling and looked old). I sent Nae my itinerary, which stated that I wanted dinner served at 5:30 and she didn't start serving until 6pm. She had promised she would have waters in a bin with ice but the waters were never taken out they were left in the kitchen floor (I walked in the kitchen at the end of the night and found them on the floor still in their packaging) My guests were thirsty through out the party. My friends and family came up to me during the dinner telling me that their stomach hurt after eating the food and that the cordon blue chicken tasted spoiled. When I complained to Nae about the food being spoiled and making my guest sick she replied that my family was rude to her crew and that her crew wanted to leave in the middle of the wedding and that she had to beg them to stay. She didn't care that my guest felt sick after eating her food. On the contrary she further insulted me and my guest by saying that "just because they are used to eating beans and rice doesn't mean my food was bad" She implied that my guest can't appreciate american food because all they are used to eating is beans and rice, that was very disrespectful and unprofessional to say. For the record half of my guest were white people who know what good american food tastes like, I had the Union Tribune food critic at my wedding and she can attest to what I am saying. I am a high school teacher that had guests who are principals, lawyers, teachers, engineers and staff from the union tribune. We are educated people and for her to say that we only enjoy beans and rice is disrespectful because she is assuming we don't know what quality food tastes like. Trust me we do know what quality food tastes like and her food is not quality. I asked for her to refund me a percentage of my payment because she got my guest sick but she refused. I'm not going to argue with her, she can keep my money. All I care about is that I am married to the love of my life. All I can say is that my review is honest and that I hope she learned from her mistakes (booking 2 parties in one day and not being present at my party all night). I would not recommend her to anyone of my friends, it is up to you if you would like to take the risk hiring her, but I never will. I hope this review is helpful to you on picking your caterer. Best of luck. ***I just read her response to the review and here are my responses: 1) I never said I wanted to ruin her business. I simply said I was going to write a honest review. 2) After she said that racist comment towards my guest, I no longer wanted a percentage back of my money, I preferred to leave a honest review that showed her racist/unprofessional behavior towards my guest. She bribed me with money to take down my review and I refused to take the review down. I rather loose my money and leave a honest review that will help future people. 3) My family did not treat her workers badly. At the end of the day they asked if they could take some of the flower center pieces and my family gladly gave them some. 4) She was not present during my wedding at all (only at the beginning before the wedding started and at the end when we were cleaning up) Hence, she does not know all the problems that occurred due to her poorly trained workers. She should have done a better job at delegating the tasks because many of the things she promised did not happen at the wedding.
