Introduction
Good Vibes Music Academy was founded in 2020 by professional musicians Joshua Colburn and Prezleigh Moy. With a combined background of live touring, studio work, songwriting, classical guitar, and teaching of all ages, Good Vibes Music Academy offers virtual private lessons in vocal performance, guitar, piano and keyboard, drums and percussion, songwriting, strings, woodwinds, and brass! Every private lessons grants you or a child ages 5-12 access to our music enrichment class on Tuesdays and Thursdays called Recess for Parents!

I’ve been taking vocal lessons with Josh for about 6 months and I look forward to each lesson. I have been a musician for a number of years but never really sang and convinced my self I just wasn’t a singer. Josh totally turned that narrative around for me. He is really attentive and easy to work with. He breaks every lesson down uniquely and can adjust thing in real time to help you through any struggles you may be running into. If you are looking to finally break out and get to the place you have wanted to get to with your voice Josh is your guy. He will bring out what makes you unique and chairs that rather than making you a clone of someone else!

The mix of professional experience and relatability stood out immediately. I sing regularly as it is part of my profession so I have a bit of background in vocal training, however, Joshua was able to catapult my singing ability to the next level in just a few short lessons. For me the most beneficial aspect was the attention to voice protection, and the various analogies used to help me better understand why and how to use and take care of my voice.

Josh has been great for me. Helped me build a lot of confidence and improve some long-standing bad habits I learned. I am not a pro singer by any means, but now I have the confidence and skill to sing on stage in front of people and not stress about it.

My son started music lessons about 2 years ago when he started taking interest in Guitar. We were so grateful to find Prezleigh and be working with her. She has boosted my sons confidence and has really pushed him to grow in every lesson that she teaches. Prezleigh has a heart for sharing music with her students and that shows. She is very intentional with her lessons and always has her students goals in mind to meet their individual needs. I see steady improvement with every lesson and that is so exciting!
