FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a flat weekly rate. I encourage a commitment to at least once a week. My fees are generally less, if folks travel to me and a bit more to visit their home. I have a simple contract that spells out my commitment to you and your responsibility to be prepared, on-time and keep cancellations to a minimum for student consistency and tutor sanity. ;) I LOVE TEACHING - I don't like accounting ;) and all the awkwardness that comes with having to ask for you to pay for my time. Please READ the contract - and help us to have a professional open relationship with clear communication. *FREE session - when you refer me out - and that individual hires me. YES! (Thank you).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Usually, the process starts w/ a phone call and then we meet for the first tutoring session. We converse before the tutoring and then the student receives a full session. I always invite parents to stay if they desire but they must sit down and be actively involved. No hovering lol or you'll get a homework assignment ;)
