Davey is a great teacher! He really got to know our daughter and tailors her lessons to best suit her. He teaches her how to read music while also giving her a chance to have fun with her guitar. Her lesson is the perfect balance of reading music and practicing from her book along with fun jam sessions with Davey.

Davey made learning drums fun. He listened to my son and customized the lessons to his interests. He went out of his way to compliment and encourage. My son would practice in the car, on his school desk and on his drums. You couldn’t ask for a more dedicated, kind and talented instructor.

After wanting to learn to play the guitar for years, I can’t say enough how grateful I was when I found Davey! He’s incredibly talented, both as a musician and a teacher, and has a unique way of making lessons rewarding from the start. I appreciate the way he values teaching the fundamentals, while also incorporating my musical tastes and keeping the lessons fun. I was blown away by how quickly I learned! My children loved their Monday lessons with Davey! He made learning a true joy for them and they couldn’t wait to show me all they learned. While we were going through a divorce, Davey brought with his lessons an escape for my girls to feel confident and happy through music. We will miss him! Thanks Davey!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I like to find music that interests the student. And then I adjust my methods according to the student’s abilities. It is important to find material that is challenging but not seemingly impossible for the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Florida Atlantic University. I am also an experienced classroom music teacher.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started playing music at a very young age. I believe that it can make the world a better place.
