My team of trainers and I build SAFE, measurable, progressive workout programs that are custom and body specific to our clients needs, specializing in weight loss, weight gain, toning, firming, cardio and building strength. Most importantly, building programs that are results driven. This year alone, 1 Body was voted top 10 personal training companies in the Los Angeles and Orange County area. I have been in the health and fitness industry since 2002, working for some of the biggest brands: LA Fitness, 24 Hour Fitness, Bally's and Crunch Fitness. Over the past 3 years, I have dedicated my life to independent personal training, working with a variety of clients ranging from everyday working men and women, children, to some of the top level professional NBA athletes — including Jason Terry-Milwalkee Bucks, Mason Plummlee-Denver Nuggets, Isaiah Thomas-Denver Nuggets, Kevin Garnett (Retired) Minnesota Timberwolves and Miles Plummlee- Atlanta Hawks. My initial introduction to the types of strength and conditioning at this facility was awesome. The fact that I was given a orientation and introduction to the kind of workout I would be doing without having to pay was great...Ortege (OJ) even let me do a separate orientation with my now trainer Romeje before making a decision. Romeje is awesome..I never want to workout but when I leave I always leave feeling great. He listens to his clients and is very observant of what they are comfortable with and he pushes you to push yourself. Well worth the time and a great investment in me .

1 Body Strength and Conditioning is a well maintained indoor/outdoor gym managed and owned by one of the greatest personal trainers in Long Beach by FAR, OJ! Because of the Covid-19 outbreak, my girlfriend's (Jenny) and my main goals/concerns were to stay as safe as possible, to practice cleanliness, sanitation, and most importantly, social distance while having an awesome experience. He's made workouts interesting and enjoyable and often introduces new exercises and routines to break up the monotony of the everyday workout. The music in the gym has great energy, keeps you pumped during the workouts and gasses you up until the very sweaty end! 1 Body Strength and Conditioning and its trainers are diligent in keeping the environment positive, focused and overall CLEAN! Be prepared to walk into the gym with a temperature check, they don't mess around! It's great to know they stand by their word with their attention to Covid-19 requirements and precautions (and more!). They offer meal plan guidance, weight and body fat% assessments and integrate today's technology to help you reach the goals you set for yourself. Jenny and I have separate goals while working out which OJ takes into consideration. Often times OJ will make sure he incorporates exercises that will cater to my goals while he gives specific workouts catered to Jenny's goals all in the same workout session. Recently, OJ recently introduced me and Jenny to boxing, something we never considered introducing into a workout. I never knew hitting a heavy bag with boxing mits and gloves could be so gratifying and at the same time so tiring! It's something I've always wanted try, grateful for the opportunity to learn new skills. It's been an excellent, stress-free experience. This gym is definitely one we'll be going to for a long time! I highly recommend this gym if you're serious about reaching your health and fitness goals. Whatever you put into these workouts is what you're going to get out of it. If you listen to the trainers, come correct with a positive attitude and willingness to work, OJ and his team will get you to where you want to be. Thanks OJ and staff!!

My boyfriend, Alan and I are more than happy and grateful to be training with OJ over the last 2 months (and beyond)! Because of the lockdown, we WFM/got furloughed and had to find a new trainer to keep the weight off and our mental health in check. We are not fans of virtual training so a gym that complied to covid19 regulations was a must, as we live in a multi-gen household, want to be safe & stay covid-free! OJ is AWESOME! We see him 3x/week. We enjoy every workout, always leaving the gym sweaty AF & fulfilled. He is talented, knowledgeable, and versatile. OJ pushes you to do more and switch up workouts to make it fun and enjoyable.....most of the time haha. I am prepared and look forward to those 'outside the box' workouts, such as sprinting to catch a basketball OJ throws out into the parking lot or boxing! Weight and progress are tracked, logged, and shared. OJ keeps you accountable but does not make you feel judged or guilty about the bad decisions you made. Rather, he explains and provide guidance on your nutrition intake, next steps and how it relates to your overall goal. The key is to be honest with yourself, the food log and OJ! Something I did not expect while signing up to train with OJ is boxing! I appreciate him initiating and teaching me and Alan how to box as a part of our weekly workouts! We never expect to get into it, but it is a great work out, fun, feeding our self-confidence and we are learning how to throw proper punches and hooks, in case it's ever needed! If you are serious about your goals and ready to work/commit, OJ and his staff will get you there. I HIGHLY recommend 1 Body Strength & Conditioning!

5 STARS!!! Working with OJ was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. He takes the time to work with you to make sure your training is what’s best for you. Motivates you, never yelling or putting you down. Only been working with him for a month and noticeable results not only on the scale but in how I feel as well. Would recommend to anyone of any fitness level looking for a trainer.

OJ is a great trainer and the most patient trainer I can think off. Having my husband to train with him was the best decision I ever made. Let me put it this way. My husband has some memory declining but because of OJ’s patience he went above and beyond to bring him to a different level in terms of his memory and strength. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs this amazing trainer. OJ, went above and beyond to even drop him home whenever I was not able to. My husband and will always be grateful. If anyone is looking for a good trainer, you just found one. Dedicated, nonjudgmental and client centered. Above 5 stars.
