Introduction: I just joined Thumbtack, but I've performed full-time for 20 years around the U.S. and have provided the live music for thousands of amazing events. (See nearly 300 5 star reviews on The Bash and Gig Salad)
My sound blends soulful, acoustic rock with a smooth, beachy vibe. I've had the honor of sharing the stage with legendary artists such as Usher, Sheryl Crow, Natasha Bedingfield, and Stevie Wonder.
My repertoire (over 1500 songs) ranges from current top hits, through the wide reaches of rock and R&B, all the way back to classic jazz and swing. I bring each song to life with fresh acoustic arrangements and an easy-to-listen-to sound. I'm comfortable playing as an instrumental guitarist, or a guitarist/singer, as well as harmonica and ukulele.
I also provide Mobile DJ + MC services, making me a "one-stop-shop" for event entertainment.

If I could check off every single thing I loved about Matt I would. His work quality, professionalism, responsiveness, value, punctuality, talent, demeanor, performance, friendliness WAS AMAZING. He responded to me immediately and was able to accommodate my last minute request for his live music services same day. He knew all the songs I wanted done and added in more that he knew would fit the theme of an engagement proposal. Without him, the proposal would not have had the same effect. He worked with me in preparing to make sure that everything he was going to do fit my overall plan. He came through for me in the clutch and his performance was just incredible. He nailed every single request we gave him and delivered every song perfectly and was a professional the entire time through. What an evening! Matt helped to make my wife's Birthday an extra special day. From prompt communication leading up to the event and his professionalism throughout the evening, we are fortunate to have found Matt to do our event.
From Matt’s extensive list of songs that can cover any style or genre you could imagine, my wife loved that she was able to choose an entire set list.
Matt’s performance with his voice, guitar and harmonica was fantastic and we had comments from guests throughout the night about how awesome his performance was and how he stood apart from other musicians. Thank you Matt….we will certainly be calling you for a future event again.

We could NOT be more happy with Matt! He played our mom's 60th birthday party and every single guest was raving about him. Not only is he beyond talented but was extremely friendly, professional and he honestly knows EVERY song. We threw a bunch of last minute requests at him (and some even during his performance!) and he nailed every single one. I cannot say enough good things about Matt.
