FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Unless you're looking for the most basic cleaning: trash removal, vacuuming, and bathrooms....then there are a lot of variables that come into pricing out a cleaning job. Specialized finishes (like wood or high end tile) that require particular cleaners to protect, the amount/size/extent of detail with regard to areas that need full sanitization (kitchens and bathrooms), detailed dusting of high areas/vent registers/window coverings, etc. all come into play when quoting prices. We try not to quote site unseen for this reason, but then again we consider ourselves fine dining, not fast food, for the cleaning industry.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
DIR executives came from the property management/real estate industry so we understand what clients are looking for and what they need from that side of the coin. This gives us a unique perspective on property maintenance that relates well to the client seeking the best service.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Don't fall into the belief that all cleaning services are equal. Those that are the kindest on your budget are often the less effective when it comes to quality and service. Quality and protections such as insurance and background checks go a long way to saving money in the end.
