How did you get started doing this type of work?
How many pages can I fill with the Answer? OK, I am actually preparing an autobiography for when the time is right. Read the About page at "BBQ Catering Confidential" for a Summary. Here are 5 reasons:
1. I love Food and sharing my best with others.
2. I want to make the world a better place to eat, one plate at time.
3. My parents' parents, and their parents all owned BBQ establishments in Texas, with my Grandfather teaching me how to Grill since the age of 6. I come from a long line of fantastic Cooks who have gifted me with a very special palate.
4. I regularly appreciate and (usually) enjoy the flavors offered by BBQ (and other) Chefs, as I eat my way around the world. However, I wanted to create something different. People who hire me are always happy they offered their Guests something unique and delicious.
5. BBQ is what I do Best.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Onsite BBQ Catering and Private Grilling Lessons. I like to serve people healthy and delicious versions of their favorite BBQ dishes or teach them how to make them at home.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Please don't be "put off" that our website doesn't have a Menu of BBQ Dishes with a Price List for 1/2 Trays, Full Trays, etc... We create a unique Menu for every occasion with service rates based on the customer's request for staffing and available onsite cooking facilities. Of course, there are different rates for Hamburger/ Hot Dog Cookouts and parties where I prepare Waygu Steak and Lobster Paella.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Like most of my customers, I too am a "Foodie". I go to restaurants in L.A., all over the U.S. and to places like Paris, London, New Orleans, Costa Rica, etc... in search of the best flavors. I always incorporate them into my cooking and people can taste the difference.
