I’m very sorry that you weren’t entirely satisfied with the work that was done. As for the work itself, I didn’t expect it to take this long. Your order specified that an electrician had wired something incorrectly and that it needed to be fixed. That part took me 10 minutes, but then I discovered that the wires leading to the two cameras weren’t even routed into the house, even though you said everything was working. I had to redo the work of whoever installed these cameras, because I have never seen such unprofessional camera installation. I didn’t take any photos since that would compromise your security, but you can climb onto the roof yourself and see how poorly it was done. According to you, your system has only been in use for a year, but I was unable to repair the camera that was damaged by water. This is an installation issue, not a manufacturing defect or my fault, so I removed it and you ordered a new one. Since I couldn’t repair the camera (even though nobody usually does that), I didn’t charge you for this work. The invoice includes the installation of two surveillance cameras with wiring, as well as fixing the issue with the DVR. I did not include the camera repair in the invoice, even though I spent a lot of my own time on it. I always charge for the project itself, and this does not include the time I spent. If my services are too expensive for you, you can find someone else, but since someone else had already done the work for you—which I was forced to redo a year later—that is your choice. I did everything I could without a new camera, even though your system doesn’t have a monitor—which is necessary for configuring the system—and I didn’t have a monitor with me.
