- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I provide three types of services. 1. Transcription of audio files into a Microsoft Word document (file saved as *.docx) for which I charge $20.00 an hour, i.e., for every hour it takes me to transcribe the material NOT per audio hour. 2. Typing Services (considered Data Entry) which includes jobs such as the typing up of labels to print up or just strictly inputting information into spreadsheet, etc., and/or creating mailing lists, among other things. For this service, I generally charge $15.00 per hour. 3. Word Processing jobs are those which require more advanced knowledge of MS Word and similar applications. Creation of Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities would be included in this section. For Word Processing jobs, I charge $30.00 per hour. Included in this price is the option of having it printed out or just saved as a file.

It happened almost by accident and that was over 25 years ago.
