Based on my personal experience, I consider Gil as a knowledgeable and responsible trainer who exercises highly professional and individual approach with his clients. I like that he is strongly committed to what he is doing. I am also noticing that he constantly improves his expertise. For example, recently we switched from workouts with just weights to more sophisticated training that includes posture correction and a lot of stretching which makes sense to me. All this makes him stand out. Plus, he’s a nice guy who can keep up a conversation. We’re having fun time. You gonna catch a good vibe.Nov 12, 2019

I definitely recommend working with Gil! He is extremely knowledgable and knows exactly how to work out each muscle group to get results and remain healthy/safe. His workouts and meal plans are excellent. During sessions, he is attentive and receptive to any questions. In addition, the gym he operates out of, HVY, is very clean, friendly and has great equipment.Oct 8, 2018Verified

Gil Correa is a highly skilled trainer with a great attitude. I have worked with a number of personal trainers over many years both in New York and Los Angeles and none have proved more effective or knowledgeable than Gil. After some time of working out by myself I realized that I needed a pro who would help me stay in shape and reach new goals. I got lucky by finding someone of Gil's caliber and could not be happier.Sep 11, 2019Verified

Gil is great! He really listens to your concerns and pays attention to how your body moves and reacts to different exercises. And he offers nutrition plans as well!Nov 3, 2016Verified
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Get to know them. Their expectations, fears and dreams. That helps to build a whole training that prioritize their individualities, making it easier to achieve their goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a 5 year degree in physical education from Brazil where I lived most of my life. It's different from P.E IN USA, it's a course where you study physiology, anatomy, kinesiology, training and a lot of other subjects related to physical activities, fitness and wellness. I also got certified in Canada and U.S for training and weight management. I also have other certifications such as groups classes(yoga, spinning and etc), kettlebell, TRX and also energy healing.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I have been always into exercises since I started doing martial arts. I was an overweight kid who wanted to lose weight and did not know how, as I started to do martial arts during my 15 years, my body started to change. I began to dig more in the martial arts world, learning Karate, Kung Fu and Tai Chi Chuan which leaded me to a university and a degree in the area of kinesiology, sports science, training, fitness and wellness. My degree gave me a whole new world when I started to work in a Gym, studying and practicing weight training, group classes, pilates and yoga, so as gymnastics and circus activities. I like working with people, helping them to achieve their goals, watch them change their attitude, mind and body in the process and see that they are enjoying what they are doing.
