Introduction: I’m John. I’m the founder and lead trainer at YallFit. I’ve been a personal trainer in North East LA since 2015. In 2014, I was hospitalized due to a stress-related ulcer. I was underweight and very sick. Exercise quite literally saved my life and gave me sanity. I’m extremely passionate about what I do and my goal is always to help my clients feel the best they can in the skin they’re in, gain confidence, and enjoy a healthy life. Every individual has unique needs and goals and it’s my aim to help my clients achieve those goals while enjoying the journey. Working out shouldn’t feel miserable — I firmly believe that kids understand how to have fun with exercise and my training style reflects getting back to that place when fitness was fun. I tailor all my exercise routines based on what your needs are and what you would enjoy the most. I have a pretty large knowledge pool. Sometimes that means strength training, cardio, HIT training, boxing, posture correction, corrective exercise for Rage of Motion, stretching, pain management exercises or ALL of the above. I do a combination of everything listed above with all my clients.

John is such a dedicated and talented personal trainer. In a single word his approach is all about precision. Sessions are tailored to my exact needs and the exercises focus in on the exact muscle groups we need to target. Highly recommended!

Actually I’ve worked out sessions with several other professional personal trainer over the years and trust me John has completely changed my view and the best ever. John always focus on my health, eating habits and lifestyle in general. It’s not possible to say enough so many good things about John. I admired his knowledge, encouragement and knowledge. I started working with John to increase my stamina in advance of a long vacation. We worked out in Griffith Park 2x/week for 5 months during which time I gained strength, balance and endurance. The added bonus is John's engaging yet no-nonsense style.

John is a great trainer - we do a mixture of boxing training and conditioning/strength. He is very personable and caters all the lessons plans to my needs and goals - always keeping me engaged and challenged. I love working with him and I love the progress we have made together. He listens to me, makes me feel comfortable, and keeps me on my toes (literally). I cannot recommend him enough.
