Having received a thorough and rigorous conservatory-style training in music since the age of five, I know the best methods for teaching effectively while balancing discipline with fun. I don't want any of my students to feel that learning music is "work," but rather an opportunity to explore an art form while reaping its rewards (being focused and detail-oriented, having confidence, being creative) for the rest of their lives! The best part about teaching kids and adults is seeing them grow intellectually, emotionally, and musically. There are so many challenges that both my students and I encounter in life and in music, and it's rewarding to see how those challenges are overcome from lesson to lesson.
