NRG Upgrade is hands down the absolute best company for any landscaping/hardscaping project. Myra was so helpful and available whenever we needed her. Thomas and Alon were onsite every day to ensure that things were moving along as scheduled. Everything was completed in less than 2 weeks (demolition of concrete, new fencing, stamped concrete, installation of artificial turf, plants, and patio lights) and we couldn't be happier. My 3 year old son says, "thank you for my new playground!"

Hello! The purpose of writing this is to express our complete satisfaction with hiring NRG Upgrade for our front and backyard hardscaping/landscaping project. I will post a few before-and-after pictures as to get an idea of the project and the excellent work that was done. We are so happy we went with NRG and would suggest doing the same if you are planning on any projects for your home or business. My wife posted the job on Thumbtack and received several responses from landscaping companies interested in the job. NRG was the first to respond and was the first to send a representative, Levi, to our house. My first impression of Levi was that he seemed incredibly professional and knowledgeable regarding the scope of the job. I'm not a professional, but I had already built two retaining walls in our backyard, but after going through that experience, my wife and I knew we would need to go with professionals for the next most difficult step of building another level on our hill and a fire pit area. The reason I'm mentioning this is because I had already had this project in my mind for years; I've created sketches, digital plans, cost and material calculations, etc. Needless to say, I was pretty obsessed with finishing the hill and thought I had everything all planned out... at least I thought. When Levi showed up, I explained my idea to him and without hesitation he suggested some tweaks that completely blew my mind. I'd been staring at our hill for years, trying to create the best plan possible, and Levi came in and after only a few minutes created something that I would have never have thought was possible. At that moment I knew we made the right call going with a professional. Levi gave us a quote that day and I told him I'd let him know soon. We wanted to hire NRG right there, but never going with a company to do landscape work in the past, we thought it was wise to talk with a few other companies first. All the other people that came out, while professional and very nice, didn't quite exude the same confidence I got from Levi and NRG. All quotes were roughly the same, so I knew Levi's quote was fair, and I got the sense that Levi was the only one who really understood what we really wanted. In addition, Levi's estimate for when they could start and complete the job was much more favorable than any of the other companies. So, I called NRG to tell them we wanted to work with them for this project, and that's when we met Myra. To me, this summarizes Myra: if you go with NRG for your project, you're going to leave feeling like Myra is your best friend. Myra is one of the nicest people I've ever talked to and I could really tell she cared about us and our project. Myra was extremely professional and was excellent at communicating with us every step of the way. She was always available when my wife and I had questions and it felt like she took a personal interest it making sure we were happy with the work that was being done. Whenever I called Myra, besides always having a few laughs with her, I left feeling like all my questions were answered and that I was really heard. The day before the job was scheduled to start, NRG sent a man named Nahum to my house to get set up for the project. Nahum is great! He was the head of the main crew that did the hardscaping on our hill and the concrete work in the front and backyard. When it came time to start the job, I was surprised at how quickly Nahum and the crew were able to work. Having excavated part of the hill myself, I was in shock to see how much dirt was removed in just the first day. It made me feel a little silly to think about all the money I spent buying and renting tools and all the time I spent on my small contribution to the job years ago. Every day, I felt like huge parts of the job were being completed and it was amazing to walk into the backyard at the end of the day and see what they were able to accomplish. Anytime I walked out to look at the work, I noticed things that Nahum was doing to ensure the work was pristine. When it comes to building a retaining wall, especially one as tall as the one they built for us, cutting corners becomes very noticeable the higher you go. Nahum's attention to detail was very impressive and the work speaks for itself. Every single member of the crew was skilled, and we are so happy with the job they did. In total, NRG did the following work for us: excavated our large hill, built a large retaining wall, finished the retaining wall I had already started, built stairs out retaining wall blocks, built the firepit, installed a decorative concrete walkway on the hill, filled in gaps with river rock, extended our driveway, installed sod in our front yard, installed a sprinkler system, installed a drip system on the hill, installed weed sheet and mulch, and planted desert plants. The rocks, mulch, and plants were something we added on during the project once we saw what great work Nahum and the crew were doing. Overall, we are so happy with the work that was done by NRG Upgrade. Every step of the process was done with excellent communication and professionalism. I never felt as if someone was going to call me and say something went wrong and I needed to pay them more money. The only time I paid more money was due to us liking the work so much that we wanted them to do more. I had many conversations with Levi, Myra, and Nahum, each a complete professional and excellent at what they do. My only regret throughout this process was that I didn't work with them sooner. I spent years doing a lot of the work on my own, which just left me with a bunch of expensive tools I'll never use, pallets of wall blocks sitting on my driveway for a year, piles of gravel and drainage rock taking up room in my garage, and a bad back. If you have the means, I highly encourage you to go with professionals, and if you choose to go in that direction, go with NRG Upgrade.

Levi was the one who came to my house and presented to me his plans and recommendations. I’m glad I decided to go with NRG Upgrade and now I am so happy with my backyard (hard scale and landscape) and also my new roof went very well! I was first hesitant to have them do the entire project but I made a good decision to give them this project. Each team from the roofing to the fencing to the pavers and turf and landscapers were all courteous and dependable. All my little requests were met and even went beyond my expectations. Their pricing is reasonable too. Highly recommended!

I contracted with NRG Upgrade to install two skylights, move a kitchen island and affected light fixtures, repaint a family room and install new vinyl flooring throughout the house. Alon was the project manager. He provided the estimate, scheduled the work, and coordinated with me and his team for the duration of the project. Alon was constantly in touch, keeping me informed of the progress in getting the city permit, when to expect the work crew in my house and any potential issues. He even helped me secure about 10% savings in the cost of the flooring material. As with any project, and the fact that I tend to be particular with details, there were some minor oops. I had no problem getting Alon to make sure these are fixed. The project was completed in a timely manner and the cost remained as originally estimated. I found the staff to be very friendly and responsive, particularly Myra. She was my first company contact and put me at ease at the get-go.
