John was/is great to work with! We're using him on a number of projects around the house; including finishing our garage, remodeling a patio, and (possibly) installing a skylight. Thanks for your help on our projects!!

We needed a backyard concrete patio (17' x 20') and a sidewalk/walkway around the house (from front door, along side of house to connect with backyard patio) poured. Scott was an excellent contractor - made sure to understand the project completely, clarified work orders beforehand, had great suggestions, excellent communication skills, got verification of expectations before, during and after the project, did the work in a timely manner, the patio and sidewalks are perfect, left the site clean, couldn't be happier with the actual concrete pour and results. Our house looks great, the project opens up the yard for use, and the finish on the concrete makes it safe whether the patio is wet or dry. The rain/water is directed away from the house and the patio will last forever. Scott was very professional from start to finish. I highly recommend his work. Thank you!

I needed a fence with two gates between my pool and patio to keep my pets away from the pool. The fence was planned to curve along a ribbon of brick in the patio and along the curves of my planter to the wall. Tim was very attentive to my needs and I know it was a complicated project. Tim showed pride in his work and was am absolute pleasure to work with. I changed my mind from wanting a white fence to silver and, the finished project blends quite well with the patio and garden, as if it had always been there. I am VERY satisfied with his work!

My fence was falling down and posts were very loose in the ground. Mark built a 64 foot long by 6' high wooden fence for me. He showed me a sample of his fence construction, explained it to me, and then he prepared a detailed proposal, and scope of the work. His costs were a bit higher than a standard fence, but his design was much more detailed and provided me with a beautiful and structurally sound fence. He personally came to my house, and built the fence, and used a concrete base for the fence to rest on and secure metal post brackets, ensuring the fence was above the ground, secure, and minimized the fence from soaking up water on the ground, as well as left a nice border for my plants from the neighbor's yard. Additionally he notched the fence posts so the 3 (three) horizontal support brackets were flat inside the posts and secured for added strength. Something that I also noticed was he was very detailed oriented and kept his worksite safe and organized and each day when he left, my property was clean and I could see the progress of the fence and not wonder what he was doing. I am so happy I chose him to build my fence, Mark is very easy to work with, and my fence is beautiful, very strong, and I feel very confident that it will last a long time and not end up like the fence I replaced. Thank you Mark

Contacted George with a list of projects I had in mind, but needed a price to see how much I could get done and what the costs would be. George came over to give me a quote and a breakdown of costs of each project and payment schedule, which I appreciated. We went ahead with the work. One of the bigger projects we had George and his team do was to knock down our existing patio and concrete and put up a new one. Old patio was 15' x 20' we did a new 15' x 40' patio. Very happy with the quality of work and the patio itself. Other projects include removing bulkhead and putting up new drywall, installing can lights, new roof, and putting up new doors. I was most impressed by two things - 1) the open communication between us, and 2) the professionalism and politeness from George and his workers. Even little hiccups were properly communicated and worked out. I will definitely be working with them again.

I used this business to rebuild a portion of a concrete masonry wall that contained a sizable crack and was in Danger of falling. A parkway tree had created this situation over a number of years. Peter rebuilt the damaged portion of the 60 plus year old wall to match the rest of the wall, and replicated the brickwork on top of the wall, then painted the new concrete and some hairline cracks. The work was beautifully executed, and you cannot tell the difference between the old and new part of the wall. I would highly recommend this business.

Working with Microresorts was a true pleasure. We were extremely lucky to find Elder through an old real estate agent and we couldn’t have been happier. Microresorts built 2 decks, concrete walls, a firepit, a fence with gates, and beautiful planters and also put in 2 irrigation systems, a drainage system, many plants, and a gas line to our firepit and grill. He also installed our hot tub including electrical. He also threw in some extra items that we didn’t expect which we needed to get done at some point. Before we even signed a contract, Elder drew up plans and showed us his fantastic ideas for our outdoor space. He put a lot of work into the plans and it was clear that his vision matched ours. His workers were considerate to our neighbors. Elder met all of our immediate neighbors and game them his contact info. He told our neighbors to call him if there were any issues. When the workers showed up at 9:30am on a Saturday, one of the neighbors complained (even though this was much later than the 8am that the local ordinance allows). Elder had the workers come even later on Saturday to accommodate our neighbor. The work was professionally done and looks amazing. Everyone who sees our space is astonished at the design and finishing work. Although the work took a little longer than the original estimate due to rain, it was completed as quickly as possible. It was well managed and there were no significant delays or problems. Elder dealt with us with respect even though we did change our minds on a couple of details after work started. He didn’t increase the price when we made changes even though we knew it would be a little more expensive for him (and we were willing to pay more). The hardscape is solid and we are not worried about maintenance anytime soon. We wanted a low maintenance house and he gave that to us. Overall, I can definitely say that we are extremely happy with Elder Jerez and Microresorts. We would definitely hire them again if we had any more work to do. Choosing Elder and Microresorts was an excellent decision and we recommend him highly.

Gilbert came to our home and presented us with a competitive estimate for the work we were requiring. After getting another estimate, from another licensed contractor, I decided to stick with what worked in the past; I hired a Thumbtack referred company. Gilbert and his crew arrived as promised on Saturday morning February 14, completed the job, and exquisitely I must add, in the time promised. Gilbert returned himself the following day, put the finishing touches on his work, advised my wife and I what to do for the following 3 days to assure our new cement patio and barbeque area would turn out as he'd promised. The 3 days have past, all is great, actually more than great, and we'll be enjoying both areas this upcoming weekend. Absolutely zero complaints about the work, his crew, or anything. Gilbert is 100% a man you can trust, and his work, as I stated earlier, is exquisite! Gregg & Cindy C. of Mission Viejo, CA

We have had Nicolet Construction do several projects at our home over the past three years and have been extremely satisfied with all of the results. Giovann constructed a new 4-car garage shop with loft to match our existing home. This included the site preparation, forms, foundation and slab pours, framing and everything else including the roofing and finish/trim work. Giovann also poured several yards of concrete for our driveway and for a terraced exposed aggregate patio/deck by our pool; he designed and constructed a gazebo in the back yard, and a "tool shed" for the garden: created a custom fireplace mantle; and finished some interior trim work that we had not been able to get done. Giovann is not satisfied with "good enough" and takes pride in every project that he has done for us. I have no hesitation in recommending Nicolet Construction for any project you might have. You will not be disappointed!

James and his crew did an excellent job demolishing and replacing our concrete driveway, stamping and staining our concrete patio, building and painting two wooden gates, and beautiful planters for our trees. They were VERY professional and reliable from the very first meeting until job completion. They completed the job in only two and a half weeks. When they were called back to fix a few minor issues they again showed how reliable and professional they were. We were very satisfied with their work and would highly recommend them.

We were doing a complete remodel on our rental building in Long Beach. The stairs were old and damaged, as well as the railings and courtyard concrete. The courtyard area also puddled when it rained, which further added complications. The railings no longer met code. Andreson demolished the old stairs and completely rebuilt the staircases and added the LifeDeck waterproofing system. There were several steps and layers in the process, adding safety and functionality. The end result was a strong new staircase (3 flights), which was done by code and passed all inspections. All waterproofed and secure, with a great looking finish coat. Also, the water drains effectively from the top stairs to the bottom, and the new courtyard concrete Andreson poured is all pitched so that we no longer have issues with puddling. The new railings are sturdy and meet code. The entire job looks and functions great, as an important part of the entrance aesthetic appeal safety of our rental property. Overall, Jeff Andreson did a very quality job and we would hire him again for future work of this nature.

Home Designers and Contractors did an excellent job for me with several projects: -- repairing and reinstalling bamboo wood floors, -- installing waterproofing elements on my guest house, -- refinishing 1928 original oak floors (despite some really awful glue that was used on top of them for parquet floors), -- installing a brand new kitchen (lighting, floors, cabinets, new appliances, custom quartzite counter, sink, electrical, etc). -- repairing patio tiles and creating a concrete swell for the water drainage Al and his team do quality work at reasonable prices. My home is much more beautiful and functional because of Home Designers and Contractors.

Our front yard came out beautifully. We have the nicest curb appeal in our neighborhood and, we don't even need a gardener! About one year after the front yard was complete, we have started the backyard. Stamped concrete patio with an aluminum cover, artificial turf with a 3-hole putting green and drought tolerant plants with a drip system. We highly recommend this company.
