We recently booked TC Photography for an important event. The photographer showed up on time, was very professional throughout, and remained patient with us, even when our schedule was pushed back due to unexpected delays. That said, we were charged $100 to adjust the timing, which was the same price as adding a full additional hour—something that didn’t quite feel fair. While the photographer was polite, I was disappointed with some of the creative decisions. The angles chosen didn’t always take the background into account, and due to windy conditions, an unsightly part of the scenery kept showing up in the shots. I did ask for a change in angle, but unfortunately, that request wasn’t accommodated. As a result, many of our final pictures have distracting, tattered elements in the background, and they weren’t edited out. While I didn’t specifically ask for them to be removed in post, I expected a professional eye to notice and address it during the editing process. The edited images also came out darker than expected, and the selection process was overly complicated—not very user-friendly at all. To top it off, when I inquired about receiving all of the unedited images, I was quoted over $700, which felt extremely excessive. I’ve never encountered such high pricing for raw files before, and it was quite disappointing. Overall, while the photographer was timely and professional, and did demonstrate patience, the experience fell short in terms of creative vision, editing quality, and value for money.
