My husband received a notice from the IRS recently stating that he owed them $15,450 in debt. We were both shocked because this couldn’t be possible as we pay all our taxes on time through Legacy Tax Resolution Services. We were absolutely unaware and panicking about what was to be done but the representative from Legacy did a wonderful job in explaining the situation to us. They told me that I would have to file a ‘Request for Innocent Spouse Claim’ and that they would handle it for me and I didn’t have to worry about it.
