I hired Exceptionally Yours Weddings & Events for dance lessons and as a day-of coordinator for my out-of-town wedding. Crystal handled our dance lessons and preliminary day-off planning, and Storm acted as our day-of coordinator. My now husband and I were very happy with the service we received from both. Crystal is especially knowledgeable and was instrumental in ensuring things were taken care of beforehand, and Storm was wonderful at dealing with the hectic day-of events. I even got compliments from both guests and other vendors on Storm's professionalism and responsiveness! I would highly recommend them, as they great at what they do and are very affordable for the area.

My wife and I started taking dance lessons with Alexis about one month before our daughter’s wedding two and a half years ago. Although we had no dance experience before we started, Alexis got us sufficiently prepared so that we were able to dance with some confidence. After the wedding we continued our lessons at Alexis’ urging and after about 18 months she convinced us to compete in the newcomer amateur couples division which was quite an accomplishment considering how uncoordinated we were at the start. Since then we competed in a couple more competitions under Alexis’ expert guidance. She is an amazing instructor who seems to know every dance style and every detail of footwork and body position. Needless to say she is an accomplished dancer with an incredible flair and personality on the dance floor. Even though she has been our only teacher I have been able to observe other instructors with their students and her teaching style is far superior to anyone I’ve seen. It’s obvious she enjoys both teaching and dancing. Her students range in age from young to old, at various ability levels. She has even taught students with physical disabilities, showing how accomplished and professional she is. If anyone is even just considering taking lessons they should take at least one lesson from her and they’ll be hooked. She’s funny, inspiring, and a perfectionist, but not in a heavy handed way. I can’t imagine taking lessons from anyone else!!

We hired Mindy to help my husband and me with our first dance for our wedding. She was very dedicated in preparing our dance routine and ensuring that we were comfortable with the dance moves. We had two dance lessons. The first was very helpful in introducing the dance steps and getting used to the foot work. We recorded the dance routine with Mindy which was extremely helpful in observing how natural and elegant the dance is supposed to look like. Our second dance lesson was focused on refining the dance moves and make alterations that was best suited for our level. She had a good eye for the 2nd dance lesson to make adjustments that made sense for us. Overall, we were very pleased with hiring Mindy as a dance teacher and making our first dance a success! She also comes to your home which is a plus and makes it very convenient. She is willing to work with your schedule and is very committed in ensuring you are completely happy with her service. We highly recommend Mindy as a dance teacher!!

My fiancé and I absolutely love our dance lessons with Leslie. It’s something we look forward to and something that became a very fun outlet for us. She is so easy to work with and is a great choreographer. We have no plans to stop dancing after our wedding. Leslie is a great person and I’m so thankful we chose her to choreograph our first dance together.

Shyrelle has been working with my daughter for about a month now. My daughter needed hip hop & jazz lessons so that she could perform in her talent show at summer camp as well as try out for the dance team next year. I've seen her vastly improve in such a short time. Shyrelle implements discipline & fun & is so great with teens. Highly recommended!

Working With Sam Allen was the most amazing experience. Sam gave me private Hip Hop dance lessons and was phenomenal. He was encouraging, patient, and pushed me to my highest potential. Sam was accommodating, professional, and made me feel like a super star. He teaches at your pace and to your ability. I learned so much and had so much fun at the same time. I highly recommend Sam to anyone of all ages and levels of experience. There is no better teacher out there.

I have been taking private ballet lessons with Cleo for almost a year now. My technique has improved tremendously in the time I have worked with her! Cleo is patient and kind, and her attention to detail (the arch of your foot, how your wrist is positioned, the tilt of the head) has helped me grow as a dancer. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Marissa is a lovely and enthusiastic dance professional/teacher! She focuses on technique and truly explains the ins and outs of form and how/why every move is connected. She has a strong foundation in many forms of dance, including Zouk, Salsa, Bachata and more. It's been a pleasure learning Brazilian Zouk from her, and I highly recommend her!

I had the opportunity to have Kara as my choreographer for one of my music videos. It was short notice, so I felt a little bit anxious, as I am not a professional dancer and have never had dance lessons before. I quickly realized when I met her that there was no need for me to be. She is very approachable, bubbly, and work with YOU.

Melanie's been teaching me salsa for 2 years now, and she's helped me grow tremendously as a dancer. I used to be extremely self conscious when going out dancing, but no longer. Now I'm able to go out on a dance floor and truly enjoy myself. Melanie not only taught me the techniques to properly dance salsa, but also instilled the self confidence I needed. Whenever I go out salsa dancing, I now have other people complimenting me!

I started dancing about a little while back with some occasional Salsa group lessons. Just to see if I liked dancing at all. (I did.) The groups classes at Dancify were fun, and I learned quickly enough to really enjoy it from the start! I decided to REALLY try to learn a dance by committing to a weekly focus: Argentine Tango. I am now taking private lessons with Alina - usually twice a week - and I attend Argentine Tango group classes taught by other instructors most Thursday evenings to practice technique (and practice dancing with others). Alina is a master at her craft who is a great teacher for an enthusiastic beginner like me! Always upbeat, fun and funny! I've learned quickly - and am beginning to understand how much I don't know... But, I've got enough basic knowledge to have gone to a couple milonga's and successfully danced with strangers! Dancify is convenient to find in the South Bay and has plenty of easy parking. Great sophisticated atmosphere and physical studio space. Always friendly, welcoming and busy. I'd highly recommend Dancify, Alina and her instructors to anyone interested in partner dancing.

We had our first dance lesson with Jared last week. He and MicKaila were very fun and friendly, great instructors, easy to work with and super patient with us as we have extremely limited dancing experience! We are eagerly looking forward to our next lesson. I highly recommend booking your dace lessons with Jared!

Alex choreographed the first part of a group routine for a lip sync. The routine went perfectly with song and she broke it down so that all of us were successful with the moves. We are excited about our next lesson. She is fun to work with.

How much do dance lessons cost?

Adults who want to learn to dance, whether to prepare for a wedding or to meet new people, often enjoy taking dance lessons from an experienced dance instructor. Instructors may offer classes one-on-one to individual students or couples, or to small groups. The national average cost for a dance instructor ranges from $30 to $50. Some studios offer a discounted introductory lessons or group lessons, as well as package deals that are more affordable than paying for individual lessons.
