Elaine did a good job designing my large front yard landscaping. She stepped in when another contractor was unwilling to finish. She quickly got a sense of what I was looking for and came up with a design that met most of my needs. She was very professional and a joy to work with; she had lots of really great ideas. I wasn't as excited about her installation crew. I had to have them come back 3 times to finish the mulch, and even then it was very thin. I also think the irrigation coverage may not have been ideal, but that could have been left over from the former contractor. [Update] After continuing to lose plants I received a second opinion on the irrigation, and found out it was done all wrong. There wasn't sufficient valve pressure or nozzle size to support all of the plants. Indeed, a number of drip nozzles were clogged and not providing any water. There also weren't a sufficient number of zones, so that some plantings were getting too much water, and others weren't getting enough. We're having to pay to redo a lot of the work so that we won't lose everything we paid for. We also are having to change out a number of the plants because they ended up not being well-suited to their location. Very disappointing.

Elaine did a great job throughout the whole process of our backyard project. She met us a number of times to discuss design options and various recommendations, and provided detailed design work and layout with a thorough attention to details. She was available when we had questions and was responsive, and very professional.

There were many tricky things about my front and back yards, but she worked through all the quirks to come up with a very nice design that no only looks good, but solves underlying problems.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each project is different. We offer free estimate, on site consultation, design and full installation, each is priced based on level of service and scope of the work.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We meet owner at the property. We discuss with owner about his/her wishes. We check out the property, make recommendations, and provide total job estimate. If Owner is interested in working with us, we sign contract and begin design work. We meet with owner to present initial design, answer questions, and collect feedbacks. We provide installation proposal after final design is approved. If required by Owner we provide full installation service by our own team.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our designer has years of experience working in the industry. Our installer has tens of years of experience working in the Bay Area. We are skilled in masonry, carpentry, irrigation and landscaping.
