Jose repaired and increased the height of ~70 feet of fence which collapsed due to wood rot as well as replacing my neighbor's gate and stuccoing my front retaining wall. This was an especially complicated job because he had to work with three materials - wood, concrete block, and stucco and try to match the existing fence. He also took care of cutting back all the plants blocking the work. Of the 6 contractors who gave me a quote, only Jose was able to handle all 3 materials. He gave me a very fair price. Jose came out the day after the contract was signed to begin cleanup and worked every day after that until the job was done. Jose and his helper were punctual for everything - giving a quote, showing up for work in the morning. He was very responsive over the phone, always answering or calling me back within a few minutes. The work was done with very high quality - framing, painting, waterproofing, etc. There were a few minor negatives but my overall experience was extremely positive: - I did sometimes have to ask him a few times about something to make sure I understood, but he went out of his way to make sure I was okay with everything, including showing up when he was very sick to clarify some points about the fence. - One bush was removed that I did not expect in order to stucco the retaining wall. I did know that he would have to do significant cut backs but I was surprised at the removal of the bush. Thanks so much Jose; I hope we can work together again!
