Albert was very timely in his responses and editing. Video quality is top notch and audio is the same. While it was a relatively easy project, he knocked it out of the park.
PSS mixed and mastered music for our group and it came out sounding amazing. Kyle was great to work with--he answered all our questions, addressed all our concerns, and always did so promptly. I would recommend PSS for anyone looking for professional quality audio mixing, mastering, and post production work. We are also planning on using their services for our podcast.
Super professional, knowledgeable, quick and easy. I had a project I needed to have completed ASAP, and David was very accomodating, patient and helpful, especially considering I'm definitely a studio rookie. Also, his fee was more than reasonable in any case, but all the more so given his dexterity when it came to all the editing, etc, and the superior tools he employed. Thanks a bunch, David! I'll be back.
I recently inquired through Thumbtack to record a song for a promotional video my company is putting together. Chris responded immediately and was very prompt in all of our communication throughout the process. He was also flexible with his schedule and was able to meet with my team in short notice. When we arrived to his home studio, he was ready and raring to go with our track and was very patient since none of us our professionally trained singers. He provided us with a finished product in about a day and quickly turned around our suggested edits. He was a pleasure to work with and we hope to work with him again in the future.
My two hour consultation with Will was terrific. As a novice to podcasting, I hired Will to help me understand all my recording options and consider ways to make money on the internet. I was surprised how detailed and thorough he presented his knowledge of this industry. I left with many ideas to consider, way beyond what I had researched myself. Before I invest in the proper equipment I plan to visit Will at his studio and have a session with him to test the waters as to which way to go. Shall I edit my own podcasts or have him do it with more tools at his disposal, i. e. his talent and professional services? I am impressed with his ability to communicate and skill at teaching.
Ben has done an outstanding job on recording and editing an audio book with a business focus. This was no small task because the content was part straight-read and part instructional and part...hmmm -- not sure what to call it. Essentially, the style had to be markedly different for three sections. Ben "got" that right away and provided excellent, clear guidance. Ben's work was swift, professional, and supportive. He also made the process easy and is fun to hang out with -- yet another plus when working on tough content. The result is an outstanding product at a very fair price. I highly recommend Petting Zoo Studio and will use their services again.
Working with Bruce is just great. He doesn't put any pressure on you or rush you in anyway. The song only took a little over an hour to record since I came in with my lyrics written and the flow already in my head. He's good at making suggestions you wouldn't of thought to go with in the first place and letting you do what you want with them. All in all if I remember correctly, we spent about 25 minutes mixing/editing and about 45 recording. I would definitely recommend Bruce Leighton to anyone who is thinking about recording in a studio for the first time as he is affordable and easy going.
Adam Hayman is a talented, well-rounded musician who always had a way to help me understand any musical question that would come to mind. Whether it was in regards to guitar techniques, music theory, audio production, recording, or even self-promotion, Adam would have a well explained response and would take the extra time to check if I understood or not. He is very understanding about the variety of skill levels and will offer different ways to practice or play so that one can find what works best for them. Taking lessons from Adam has created a large impact on my musical growth and has allowed me to use the learned tools to further my practice and technique.
Our band sort of "cut our teeth" at Studio 132, recording 4 songs that we chose for our first studio recordings. BZ Lewis mic'd up the drums, bass, two guitars and two singers, and then went to work. The recordings were awesome. BZ managed to pair an amazing end product with a thoroughly enjoyable experience, He's easy to work with, has a great sense of humor, made us feel at home, and he was very professional. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for their sound. Thank you, BZ. From all the gang at Highway 13.
Really glad I hired Raven! He is very knowledgeable in audio recording and helped me get my gear setup so I could record my Roland td30kv electronic drum set. He came very prepared with all the necessary equipment and is very professional. I'm very excited to start recording and look forward to working with Raven to fine-tune my setup!
I was asked to be a film festival judge several years ago. Joe's films were at a level of professionalism and storytelling that were head and shoulders above the rest. We awarded him the grand prize. I gave Joe my card that night and shortly thereafter, hired him to create graphics and special effects as well as edit more traditional projects. I am always impressed with his work. He is hard working, fast, well organized, pleasant to collaborate with, and brings every mad skill he has to each project I've given him. It's been a real pleasure getting to know Joe.
Frank was our photographer for our wedding at the iconic city hall in San Francisco. Working with Frank was a pleasure and we couldn't be happier with the results. The images he took of our ceremony and of us as a family in city hall are now cherished heirlooms. Frank was professional throughout the entire process, he was the first person to arrive at city hall (he was early) and he took a creative approach throughout, not only taking photos of the ceremony but he also took beautiful shots of the the environment and candid photos of our family going with us through the whole process. Upon completion of the ceremony Frank promptly shared with us the results which included not only the raw camera files, but a complete set of color corrected and edited photos. The results are stunning. I highly recommend working with Frank should you need a photographer. Jhanette, Oakland, CA
