FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I read about art process, practice, and child development daily. I also keep up my own art practice by having daily studio time. I attend seminars and workshops yearly to expose myself on new techniques and practices for teaching art to chidlre. Most recently I have extended my learning to included techniques used in Regio Emilia preschools.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been naturally drawn to creating and making art since I was a child. I became a mother for the first time in 2010 and found there was a lack of high quality and well-run art-based programs for young children, so I started my own in my backyard with a few friends. I loved the experience so much I began a regular art group for my Mother's Group. After the birth of my second child the need still existed, so I have been offering my abilities in the form of art classes for children under age 7 for the past three years and offering art parties and playgroups for children babies to age five.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I host Toddler Art Classes, Playgroups, and Birthday Parties- all of which are a BLAST!
