Introduction: Hello!
My name is Ashley, and I tutor students in math and sometimes, English. I specialize in pre-algebra and algebra tutoring, but I also help with proofreading essays. I'm more familiar with helping students online through written examples of how to solve problems or explanations of topics they have trouble in, but I also meet with students in public places for personal one-on-one tutoring. I am willing to meet with students who live near me or close to their homes, but I do not tutor in-home unless I get to meet the student and their family first. Places I typically tutor at include coffee shops, libraries, parks, and other public places.
For students who live farther than 10 miles from my house, I'd prefer to meet them about half-way, but I'm always willing to work with them on what would be their preference.

Let me start this review off by saying, Ashley is amazing!! Ashley tutored me via telecommute in my Calculus II and Statistics courses. Telecommute tutoring was a first for me, but it was way more convenient and worked great with my hectic schedule! My Calc professor had an extremely strong Vietnamese accent which made lecture a complete waste of my time. I completely relied on Ash to teach me the course material. She has immaculate handwriting and worked out all the problems step-by-step, then emailed me the solutions. All the steps were easy to follow and helped me a number of times when I was stuck and very frustrated. Ashley was always available to explain a step if I had any issues and her explanations made all the difference. I am a 4.0 student who works hard, I graduated from my local Community College and, (with Ashleys tutoring assistance) I successfully transferred to UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business which was my 1st choice of Universities. The rates were affordable and she worked with me to fit my budget. If you are struggling with mathematics of any kind do yourself a favor and retain her services, Ashley is worth her weight in gold. I will definitely hire her again!

I can't say enough nice things about Ashley. When I approached her for tutoring help, she was friendly, responsive, and the consummate professional.
Throughout my time working with her, she was very communicative, explained things really clearly and very well, was always friendly, professional and timely. Because of her help, I passed a vital course and got my degree! The quality of her work is excellent; she really knows what she is doing, and seems as though she enjoys doing it! I never felt like I was bothering her. She was always pleasant and helpful.
I'll always be thankful for her assistance, and would highly recommend her to anyone needing math tutoring! She is top-notch!!
