I love that I can work my way out of a job. For example: your shoulder has been hurting for six months, you've tried everything you can think of, then you come see me. After a few visits your feeling great. You don't need me anymore. Until the next time.

Renae has several modalities that she can use, depending on your specific needs. Ranging from Shiatsu to Re-posturing, she is able to read your muscle tension and work accordingly. Renae is constantly taking classes to learn more and to incorporate new techniques. In a calming, soothing environment, she is able to un-twist, un-kink, and bring back to health any areas that need attention or are needing to be released of toxins. I highly recommend her. I've had Renae work on me for over a year now, and the results have been more than I anticipated. I used to have chronic low back pain and was very stiff in all of my joints. Now I can move and do things that I hadn't been able to do in years. I feel more in touch with my body, and I am healthier, also. Seeing Renae at Gentle Hands will be one of the best things you could do for yourself.

After my very first Shiatsu session with Renae I KNEW I would never need a chiropractor again. I felt wonderful! After suffering from chronic massive headaches for years I am a total convert to Shiatsu. And now she's offering Reposturing too! The reposturing has helped my posture, and with it my health, enormously. Although I haven't lost any weight, I have certainly been moving it around. I feel taller and walk prouder! I believe everyone in today's fast-paced, stressed-out society would benefit from Renae's Gentle Hands! I certainly have my family and friends visiting her!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
California licensing requires massage therapist to get several units of training every two years. I have learned, Myofascial Release, Hot Stone Therapy, Reflexology, and am certified in seven weekend classes of Reposturing 150 more hours of training added to my original 720 hours. This month I am taking a Sports Massage class and Prenatal Massage later this month.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
In 1994 I was in a near death accident. After 21 months of sitting around I needed to do something so I started training as a Shiatsu Therapist, after three months of training and being worked on, I no longer need the five pain medicines I had been taking since the accident. If Shiatsu could do that for me, I definitely wanted to be able to do the same for others!
