I meet with them, discuss how we will begin and start right away if they agree. If we are a good match then a contract is signed then and we set our dates and times.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I trained and was educated in theatre arts at SBCC and Ventura College. I performed in plays, learned many facets of acting and stage production to add to my already vast knowledge. I belonged to The Old West Production Companies where I directed and acted with The Stonehedge Gang, where we traveled to many states performing and competing. We won many awards with me directing and writing the scripts. I also acting with them. My affiliated church in Santa Barbara, COGIC had me direct and write numerous plays for them to include the local youth and elderly. It was a wonderful experience and a spiritual one. The field of performing arts always has some news about methodology and techniques as well as new inventive ways to do things and teach more effectively. I am in touch with others in this field, publications and online sites. I recently took a few classes for fun and I read a tremendous amount on the subject. I keep my skills up frequently.
