We hired Joshua for our wedding of 125 people in Sonoma, CA. Ours was an inter-faith wedding and we wanted the food to reflect the same as well. We had two caterers for our wedding. Joshua was the point person running the show and provided refreshments during and after our ceremony, hors d’oeuvres, cocktail hour beverages, 3 main courses and desserts (including wedding cake, macaroons, etc.). We had a separate ethnic food section where the food was dropped off by the second caterer and was served by Joshua and his crew. We are based in NY and communicated with Joshua long distance. We liked the reviews on thumbtack and met him in person during visits to the bay area. We found him very easy to work with and he communicated clearly, patiently answering all of our questions about anything and everything. We were not disappointed! Joshua met us the weekend before our wedding at the venue and we did a thorough walk through of everything and we discussed the nuts and bolts (down to the specific place settings, table cloths, water pitchers, etc.). He went out of his way to get the beers we wanted as well and met all of our guests' needs in terms of food restrictions etc. Our guests had a beautiful experience and everything went according to the plan with no surprises. We went into the event with a strong day-of coordinator and very clear timelines; we made sure Joshua and his team were aware of our schedule well-beforehand and we maintained close communications leading up to and throughout the event. There was enough food and wine for everyone. His staff was super polite and did a great job of making sure guests were taken care of on our wedding day. Many of our guests commented on how remarkable the food was…with some of the them saying “its the best food I’ve had till date!” :-) So thank you to Chef Joshua for making our wedding day seamless. We would totally recommend Joshua & Palate Catering for your celebration. D&L

Joshua's food is what MADE our wedding memorable! It's been months now, and I'm STILL getting responses from our guests about how good his food was! We went with an Americana fare with soup and this amazing brussel sprouts salad. I could go on to describe other foods he served but man, ALL of it was delicious! He is extremely professional, always get's back to you within the day, and is very flexible in what you want/don't want. He doesn't try to sell you on a "package" which is something we truly valued. He never bothered us or "nagged" us or did anything to make our wedding planning stressful. His staff as well were extremely courteous, respectful, and very prompt in their service. He even came to our place for our tasting!! One thing I'm truly upset about is that everyone ate ALL the charcuterie while we were taking pictures! AND the dessert too! I really wanted to try that raw honeycomb everyone was raving about.

Joshua is an extremely talented chef with an impressive culinary background. We met and spoke to nearly dozen chefs and catering establishments. By the time I talked to Joshua it felt like we were never going to find the right chef for our wedding. We didn’t want a conventional menu, and we were seeking a creative chef with farm to table approach. By end of my initial chat with Joshua, I knew he was the right chef. We met him in his Napa kitchen for a tasting and everything tasted and looked delicious. He is extremely accommodating, with a creative touch to create an amazing menu. We had our wedding at our house in Walnut Creek. His team was great with the setup, service, and clean up. His Salmon Tartar, and Cherry Gazpacho shooters were a huge hit. He got more than few compliments from our guests about the food. His aged chicken and steak are exquisite. My husband and I are both Foodies, and we were so happy with the food and the service. We highly recommend Chef Joshua.

Joshua arrived right on time and got started with the meal prep. We were busy with our family reunion and I didn't have to do a thing. Joshua took care of everything. The appetizers, salads, meal and dessert were all delicious. It was so fun having him there and he gave us descriptions of each dish which was served. We all enjoyed it and the food was amazing! I would definitely recommend having Joshua as your personal Chef. It was a great experience!!
