Tammy has been very helpful in socializing and training my young German Shephard. She is totally accommodating in addressing special requests - going to the dog park with us, assisting with introducing neighborhood dogs to my dog.
Executive Canine Services has been a real find for our family and our German Shepard. I have often felt reluctant to have typical "dog walkers" take Apollo out. When I heard about Executive Canine's Training Walks, I thought that's what we needed. Apollo is enjoying play time away from home but getting additional obedience during these activities. Our family has notices a big improvement in temperament and overall behavior.
We're working with Todd to reinforce training with our adopted german shepherd puppy Zoey and to help her - and us - work with her anxiety issues. Immediately, Zoey took to Todd, and we could see that Todd really understood her - both as the breed and an individual puppy. Todd has given us some really helpful tips to practice after our training sessions, and we have noticed great improvements in Zoey! Todd is amazing! We call him the dog whisperer - it's truly wonderful to see how he connects with Zoey and his insights are invaluable. If you need someone who is caring, knows what he's doing, respects your puppy, and responds quickly to your emails/calls/texts, Todd is your person.
We are just getting started but John really impressed us. We had a GSD for thirteen years and he's great with them. He will be great with our mini Aussie Shepherd too!
We have been sending our dog to Susan at Nu Pawspective for about a year now. Susan is an intelligent trainer with a "dog whisperer" instinct for dogs. Our dog loves going with Susan every day and always comes home exhausted and happy. We are thankful to have someone whom we trust to care for our dog as much as Susan does.
My rescue Astro, an Australian Shepherd/Akita/Husky mix, is naturally dominant, and fearful/anxious of almost everything. Rusty's knowledge and hands-on experience truly shine with these issues and breeds. Always professional, Rusty is flexible with working around our schedules. We have completed over 15 hours of training with Rusty. After an initial meet n' greet and one session, Rusty immediately had a good feel for Astro's fears and was able to pinpoint root causes. He provided in depth lessons for both me AND Astro. Much of the training is teaching us humans proper technique for recognition, prevention, and reaction to behaviors. Therefore, the true work starts at home, with the owners post lesson. Rusty has provided me with the tools I needed to become a genuine leader for my dog. I've learned SO much and cannot be more grateful to his dedication and patience. Rusty goes above and beyond EVERY time he meets with us, and I've never been disappointed. He provides a plethora of resources, even outside our training hours via email; from printable PDFs for your fridge, to recommended toys and dog food, to articles on a variety of topics! He will answer any questions you can throw at him, and if he isn't sure, he'll do in depth research to find the best answer! You name it, Rusty will provide solutions and advice. I've seen VAST improvements in my dog's behavior over the past few months! Consistency and dedication to your pet at home is key, for sure. However, we could not have done it without Rusty's guidance, and I could not be more happy with the tools and training he has provided us. I highly recommend Pawgress to all! Excellent job, keep up the great work! All our thanks! ~ RoxAnne & Astro
I could never say enough good things about California Canine. I was at a lost with our 1 year old German Shepard "Rocky" Our vet suggested we give California Canine a call. Well, that was the beginning, DiDi is the animal whisper. She worked not only with Rocky, but with us. She gave us a change to get to know our dog and also what he needed to be a good companion. She is devoted to animals and to what is good for both the dog and his owner. Rocky is now 3 years old and we take him everywhere with us. Thank You California Canine for always being there.
Not done yet, but really pleased with initial training session. Max worked very well with Amy and we got lots of great tips to settle down this rescued, adolescent German Shepherd!
The trainer met with me on site to evaluate my dog's behavior as well as discuss specific issues that I needed to resolve. The plan was laid out about how many times we would need to meet. The trainer was very flexible in terms of allowing me to chose between the individual sessions and group classes. I was glad to learn during the initial evaluation that the group classes, if missed one, were not lost and we could come in for another class. We are still going, only half way through the recommended program (we had 3 individual on site training sessions and 1 group class so far). My dog's behavior has improved dramatically. I learned a ton, which basically fuels how my dog behaves. It is important to understand that the work is required by the dog owner on a daily basis. You will get out as much of this training as you put into it. I am definitely going to finish the training with American Canine Institute and will recommend them to anyone & everyone.
Phoebe is an animal behavior miracle worker and the best in the industry as far as I m concerned! I cannot say enough good things about working with her! In fact, I don t think words could do justice to how highly I regard her and how positively impact she has been to my life and my family (dog-children included, of course!)! I have two German Shepherd Dogs who are the loves of my life, but they can certainly be a handful without proper training, reinforcement and care. When I first met Phoebe, I only had my female GSD, Ranger, who was about 1yr old at the time and she owned me , so to speak (completely my fault). Thankfully, Phoebe was able to correct some of Ranger s bad behavior s (again, my fault), train me on being a good leader, and get her basic obedience in check, all while maintaining Ranger s personality and attitude . Soon after Phoebe began working with Ranger, my family decided to get a second GSD, Stryker. This time, we worked with Phoebe throughout the entire process of obtaining a new dog, i.e., selecting the right breeder; puppy testing to choose a puppy with the best temperament for my family; selecting a great veterinarian; proper nutrition and supplements; preventing injuries; choosing safe toys; socializing the new puppy; and, introducing the new puppy to the family and to my other dog, Ranger. Once Stryker was old enough, Phoebe trained him extensively and he is now just about the perfect dog, a gentle giant! I now get compliments almost daily on the behavior of my dogs during walks, but to be completely honest, if my dogs were not as well-trained, I probably wouldn't be able to walk them at all. Finally, to top it all off, Phoebe is just a great human being with a work ethic like no other. She has stayed in my home several times with my dogs for extended periods of time and not only have I always returned to clean, better-behaved dogs, but also to an immaculate house! I could go on forever. If anyone is on the fence about hiring her, feel free to call or email me. Choosing Phoebe to work with your beloved dogs will be one of the wisest decisions you make for both your dogs and your family!
Cecilia of Canine Higher Learning Is The Dog Whisperer . She has trained my dog for puppy , basic , advanced and some private classes , She has an awesome style and the Dogs love her .I have sent all my friends and family to her, and they were pleased too. I would not let anyone else work with my animals , she is the best.
We've been working with Suzanne for about 2 years, and could not be happier. We have a 3 year old German Shepherd who can be a bit of a handful, but Suzanne handles her masterfully. While we always try to keep a consistent schedule, she is always accommodating for last minute walk needs, and has NEVER left us in a pinch. Suzanne is able to read the body language and behaviors of the dogs in the pack so well, we are never concerned about having her take our pup. She knows how to group dogs that will get along best, and gets to know the specific personality of each and every dog she has in her groups! Her attention to the detail of every puppy-personality is second to none. She also does overnight / dog sitting which we've used a number of times- she leaves the house in perfect shape and we come back to an EXHAUSTED pup. We trust her with our fur baby and our home. She's the best!
Heather is very knowledgeable and helpful. She listened to our concerns and came up with some small goals for our next meeting. We are very excited to work with her in upcoming weeks with our German Shepherd puppy.
Cookie my 9 month old German Shepherd puppy loves the balanced K9 family. She uses the boarding services and the walking services. Its literally impossible to calm her down once she see's Mahogany. I always get nervous that one day she won't want to come home with me :) I am so thankful for all the love, goodness and wisdom that is shared with me about raising a happy, healthy and well-behaved pup. I wouldn't trade them in for the world.
Kris is the best friend we could find for our year and a half young german shepherd puppy- Hero. We needed help for for some playtime with Hero as we were temporarily not able to play with him. Best friend Back up is the perfect name, as we were so happy to see our fur baby happy! :) We will keep asking Kris for support everytime we need it. 100% recommend her to anyone for exceptional services, being super flexible, helpful and timely in all she does!!
Courteous, professional, compassionate, friendly. I would highly recommend Pampurred Pets. We have a German Shepherd and two Standard Poodles. Our dogs get groomed every four weeks. The groomer did an outstanding job.
Review for Cally Davis Last Fall we adopted a 13 month old German Shepherd from our local Animal Shelter. I have had 6 GS companions in my life but none of these were adopted. All of them have been wonderful Canine Citizens and two of them involved in various 'therapy work' with people. One reason I adopted a German Shepherd: this was my way of thanking this breed for bringing so much joy into my life. I wanted to take care of one who otherwise might not have life in this world..and share the joy of canine-human companionship with her. However, it only took a few weeks for me to realize that bringing in a young dog, whose history I did not know, was very, very different from raising and training a puppy 7 - 9 weeks old!! From both her scars and her behavior, I realized she had been so abused & unsocialized that my main priority was to offer her unconditional love and the certainty of a Home here for her. After three months, I realized that unconditional love is not enough - Coco needed guidance to help her rethink her responses, collaborate with the humans caring for her, and make her needs known without being destructive of household objects. She needed specific help to overcome her intense anxiety and fear of people..and occasionally of other dogs. Being a young German Shepherd she also needed lots of good exercise. Unfortunately, she came into our lives at a time when our own usual rhythms were radically interrupted. My husband was in the hospital and rehab for four months....this occurred six months after she came into our family. All the previous work I had done with her starting rapidly slipping away as she wondered if she was being abandoned and she began her frequent attempts to hide under our house. It was about the time my husband returned home that I met Cally Davis....she was recommended to me by one of my Vet's Techs who also told me that there would be times when Cally would want to have her own dog (Amber) along in both the teaching and exercising sessions with Coco. I started not to call Cally because I did not want Coco to have to compete, with another dog, Amber, for Cally's attention....and what a mistake that would have been!! The combination of Cally and Amber as Coco's Teachers is just superb. Not only has Cally introduced and taught leash etiquette, good social skills, and how Coco can moderate her own excitable behaviors; the combination of Cally and Amber have allowed Coco experiences with another dog-as-teacher that are invaluable. I no longer worry about taking Coco to dog parks or in spaces where we might encounter other dogs, children playing, and great commotion as one can experience in the County Parks here in Santa Cruz. Under Cally's tutelage, I actually look forward to training sessions that involve real challenges for Coco in learning to trust other humans and dogs; learning not to be fearful when some new 'event' happens in her life. She's a smart dog and, through Cally's work with her, she has learned to use her intelligence in ways that benefit her and make her experience in the world a joyful one. In essence, through Cally's work....and my own follow-through with this work: now Coco walks easily on leash, responds quickly to my requests of her, and has a comfort level in the world that I worried she would never gain in any place other than within our home. I can take her...and I do...everywhere I go and know she will be fine; and others will enjoy her company! She is more than fine!: Coco receives many positive comments about her 'way of being,' rarely do we go anywhere that some stranger doesn't make the observation equivalent to: "What a smart, wonderful dog.." It is quite clear to me that the profound changes in her are due in large part to her work with Cally - as well as with Cally and Amber! I especially recommend Cally for those people who have adopted dogs and are unsure of how to read their dog's behaviors or how to assist their dog in making changes that are necessary if this adoption is to prosper both the Canine and the Humans in the 'Family Constellation.'
Berenice took care of my Baby Rex she did a great job .. she is very patient and gave him lots of love . I'll sure come back to her . She also helped me washing him . She loves any breed. She didnt discriminate my Baby since he is a German Shepherd.
Wolfgang was very prompt and courteous, and our house was tidier when we came home than when we left. He even swept our front porch! But, more importantly, our pets LOVE him. :) Our cat, Buster, is VERY skittish. Even my husband and I have trouble getting close to him on occasion. Not so with Wolfgang! He walked in the house for our first meeting, Buster poked his head around the corner, then walked RIGHT up to Wolfgang for a pet. Boy, were we surprised! We've used other, local pet sitting services before, but, they always left us worried ... and more than a little broke. The Woof Gang offers great service at reasonable prices, and Wolfgang is TRULY a 'pet person'. We will definitely use Wolfgang's services in the future and would recommend their service to anyone looking for affordable, trustworthy dog and cat care.
Katerina has an incredible love for all animals especially dogs. All her life she had (still has) a German Shepherd in her house, and always treated her dogs like family. She will be able to bond with any dog within minutes regardless of the dog's personality. Always professional and with a great work ethic makes any dog sitting job fun for her and the dogs. A trustworthy person for your dog(s) whether is for a few hours or extended leave for business or vacation.
