I require a $50 fee for an evaluation and a written estimate for door repairs or replacement. The average cost for repairs is $150.00 and replacement installation starts at $300.00. The $50.00 evaluation fee is applied to any services rendered.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Orange Coast College’s Construction tradesman-ship courses back when these courses were offered. Additionally, worked as a plumbers apprentice, finish carpenter and painter’s apprentice making it possible to qualify for a B General Contractors license. My training began in 1989 working for a General Contractor who learned door installation working for the union back in the early 1970’s. From there I went on to Tru- Cut builders specializing in high end finish carpentry. I left in 2000 to form Ron Guptill General Contractor specializing in finishing carpentry. Since 2017 the business focus has been strictly door repair and door installations.
