Introduction: Life is full of challenges, expected and unexpected. Sometimes, it can be stressful, overwhelming, and even confusing to sort things out alone, and when we are stressed out, sometimes we are prone to illness.
With a gentle, compassionate and supportive approach, I am committed to guiding my clients reach their potentials and strengths. I teach clients relaxation and breathing techniques, so that they are capable of dealing with stress and anxiety effectively. Anxious clients have the tendency to focus on the future; therefore, I help my clients get in touch with their inner resources and live in the here and now. The more stressed out and anxious clients are, the more tendency there is for them to get sick. I assist them to decrease their stress level and physical symptoms by teaching them stress management and time management. I also use hypnosis to reduce illness and promote relaxation.
I work with individuals (from young children to teenagers to adults) who are facing a variety of issues, including: identity issues, self-esteem, sadness and depression, anxiety and managing stress, using self-control, expressing feelings and more.
Working with young children requires special skills because young children do not have the same communication skills or vocabularies as adults have. By using artwork and sand tray, I assist young children who have different problems including depression, ADHD/ADD, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, defiant, temper tantrums, bed wetting and social and school problems. I also teach parents effective tools to discipline and raise responsible children.
You may wonder why your teenager sometimes feels there is no way out! During teen years, when teenagers are hurtling through intense physical and emotional changes, mood swings are typical. More often, parents feel frustrated when their teens go through drastic mood swings. I help my clients express their sadness in a healthy way. I assess for suicidal thoughts and suicidal attempts. I assist clients identify their negative thoughts and help them tap into their inner resources by using guided imagery and hypnosis. In addition, I give them daily homework to lessen their depression and increase their self-esteem, self-worth and self-image.
