- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Tochtli Nava, known professionally as DJ TeeTime, is a Los Angeles-based DJ, producer, and broadcast storyteller whose work lives at the intersection of music and media. With a degree in broadcast journalism and a lifelong connection to sound, TeeTime found his way into the industry through DJing, music curation, and the art of narrative. His career began behind the scenes at Power 106, where over eight years he helped shape the station’s sonic identity — producing, editing, and DJing on one of LA’s most influential hip-hop platforms. In 2015, he took his skills to a new level, joining Apple Music during its early days of live broadcasting, helping to pioneer streaming radio in a shifting digital landscape. TeeTime’s DJ sets are built on a wide-ranging knowledge of music, spanning hip-hop, R&B, and Latin genres — blending everything from reggaetón to soul with intention and flow. Whether he's on stage at a festival or curating the soundtrack for a private, wedding, or corporate event, his approach is rooted in precision, mood, and an authentic connection to the room. Off the decks, TeeTime is focused on fatherhood and health — the kind of balance that keeps his creative work sharp and grounded. Every mix, edit, and event is a reflection of that clarity.
