Introduction: We create one-of-a-kind in-home dining experiences that can accommodate any special dietary needs, allergies and food sensitivities without compromising the delectable and gourmet nature of the meal. Whatever we can do to make the client experience special is what we try to provide. Fresh flowers, party favors or just special attention to details that matter to them. Ikeena was extraordinary and did a fantastic job from start to finish. She arrived early in the afternoon with her assistant and didn't stop until the event was finished later in the evening. She took care of everything - set the table with flowers and candles, and the food was prepared and presented perfectly. She catered for everyone's dietary needs and the dishes looked mouthwatering with guests pulling out their phones to take pictures of each dish. They tasted as good as they looked too with each course eliciting sounds of surprise and delight from everyone. Ikeena told me that nearly all of the ingredients are organic and locally sourced which is a big plus and probably one of the reasons it tasted so good. Her assistant served us throughout the evening and made sure we always had water and wine so that we could just relax and enjoy the time together. Afterwards they cleared up and cleaned the kitchen spotlessly. It was such a memorable evening that we will definitely do it again soon.

My friend held a dinner party at which Ikeena was the chef. From start to finish every dish was superbly presented and delicious - even the salad with seasonal berries and nuts was so tasty that everyone cleaned their plate. I was one of the few vegetarians there and Ikeena made us a seperate main course of squash stuffed with grains and nuts, and a variety of beets and greens on the side - she made it look like a work of art and it tasted truly amazing!. Dessert was a chocolate tart with a mascarpone cheese cream and chocolate rosettes that also looked every bit as good as it tasted. The dishes were so well presented that throughout the evening everyone was taking photos as they were served and the meal was a talking point for some weeks afterwards. Throughout the evening her server was attentive and made sure that we always had water and wine so we didn't have to worry about anything except enjoying ourselves. If you are thinking of having a dinner party, I thoroughly recommend Keena's Kitchen to provide a most memorable and delicious experience.

This is a short and sweet review of a chef that is also short and sweet. Seriously, Chef Ikeena is committed to providing healthy, tasty and fresh food. She keeps popping up at artsy venues around the East Bay. I have seen her do it repeatedly.

I had a wonderful experience with Chef Ikeena Reed. She did a perfect job overall. The preparations were made on time and she toodk time to explain what the dish was, the ingredients and how it was prepared. The food was so delicious. You can taste the variation of the spices and it was cooked to its perfection. One small improvement that can be done is flexibility in terms of the wishes of the client. I requested to add two more guests two days before the actual event and this was turned down. Maybe this could have been accommodated. Overall, I highly recommend using Chef Reed

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly attending workshops and courses to help me stay in touch with the latest trends and further develop my skill set. My last course was on sous vide cooking! I am also attending a series of workshops on allergen-free cuisine to gain further insight into providing alternatives for clients who have sensitivities to top food allergens.
What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of clients I serve include those requiring private dinner parties, special event catering and meetings/workshops for corporations and non-profits as well as cooking skills lessons. I enjoy the personal connections I make with my clients and look forward to being of service to you!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for personalized touches and ask questions to see if the provider really fits your needs. Don't let low end pricing be the deciding factor when you're seeking a quality dining experience.
