Introduction: My lessons stand out from most others for two reasons: 1) I focus on the student having fun learning to play the guitar and have an easy-going teaching style that motivates students to learn more; and 2) I have years of real world experience recording and touring large venues all over the world with the multi-platinum, legendary classic rock band Tesla. I love to see my students improve at playing the guitar but most importantly enjoying themselves while doing it. The smile after somebody masters a song, lick, or technique is priceless.

Daves a great teacher as he is easy to work with and doesnt just shred while you sit there in amazement. He makes the lesson what you want it to be and works on whatever you want while giving you some tips on things he feels you might need to work on. I bring in some tunes that I have to solo on for my band and he always helps with ideas that get me outta my rut. Highly recomend for all ages and doesnt hurt if your a Tesla or DRB fan!

Lessons with Dave have been amazing. He truly has taken my playing to a new level. For those thinking of taking lessons via Skype, have no fear, the process is quick and easy.

Dave's a great teacher and guitarist and fun to be with. He's very encouraging and inspiring. I took several lessons from him, and always had fun while also learning things in the process - and I'm an experienced guitarist. You can tell Dave loves what he does. I recommend his lessons for guitarists at any skill level. I watched him teach my brother, who is a beginner, and Dave was great with him, too.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Like anything else, you definitely get what you pay for with guitar lessons. There are lots of teachers with very low rates, but most of them are not very good teachers. Nothing is worse than a bad teacher--they make people not want to play guitar or they teach them how to play it badly. I've corrected lots of bad technique in my students that they'd learned from previous "teachers" who obviously weren't very good players themselves. I've been playing for 23 years and I've taught for 8 years. When I was learning to play I took lessons from several different types of teachers over 9 years and I have a very solid grasp on proper technique, theory, and the best way to get students to improve in their playing.
