All of my clients improve their body (physique), but it's the self realization and life improvements that carry over into their lives that count. That's what drives my passion for what I do. That and I get to see the look on their face when I tell them they can still enjoy pizza and all their favorite foods and habits while they do it! haha.

I started training with Griffin a year ago. I had never considered a personal trainer - or strength training - until my hamstring injury kept me from running for over a year, and physical therapy wasn't helping. I was in pretty good shape already, but with my new job that involved significant travel, I wanted to broaden my workout options beyond the endurance cardio I had primarily been doing. I met with three trainers from Thumbtack, but Griffin won me over immediately when he arrived to our informational meeting with research on my injury, a customized workout and a sense of humor. I love my workouts with Griffin - he is fun to talk to, accommodates my crazy schedule, and adjusts my workouts to accommodate my home (or hotel) gym equipment as well as my personal goals. His passion about strength training and my success is infectious. Deadlifts have helped my hamstring and I can run again - but now I have as much fun training in the gym as I do running. Can't say enough good things about Griffin - so glad that Thumbtack connected us!

I couldn't ask for a better trainer! Griffin is intelligent, attentive, knowledgeable, supportive, and dedicated. He is incredibly professional, super easy to work with, and a total joy to be around. His enthusiasm is contagious. But perhaps what I love most about Griffin is his passion for fitness. He lives for it, he's invested in it, and, as a result, he wants nothing more than to see you succeed. From what I can tell, Griffin really seems to tailor his training to each individual client, making sure they get exactly what they want out of their time in the gym. Personally, I was looking for someone who would help me achieve my fitness goals and also provide me with a comprehensive understanding of weight-trainging so that I could eventually work out on my own, both regularly and effectively. I am happy to report that Griffin has far surpassed my expectations! When we first met, Griffin took the time to get to know me — to understand what my goals were — and then, together, we worked out a fitness regime (including a nutrition plan) that was tailored to my body and my goals. Now, every session is personalized and fun! Yes, fun! We focus on strength training (a subject on which he is incredibly well-educated) and, throughout our sessions, he'll actually explain the mechanics of what I'm doing, which helps make the exercises that much more accessible while providing me with a better understanding of how my body works. Not only do I get stronger with every session, but I feel like I get smarter, too. Working out with Griffin has been one of the best decisions I've made. I am stronger, healthier, and happier, and his comprehensive and holistic approach to training, coupled with his indisputable passion, has made the whole experience that much more pleasurable and rewarding. Griffin is a true champion and I am confident that he will provide you with a newfound appreciation for the gym.

Griffin is truly an outstanding personal trainer! I've been looking for someone to motivate me and really push me towards my fitness goals and he has done that. Going in I was really out of shape and within 2 months was already able to lift more than I ever could. If you are looking for a trainer who is extremely knowledgeable in this field, a great motivator, and someone who is willing to do whatever it takes to get you towards your goals, seriously look no further! I highly recommend him.

I moved to Santa Monica and left my trainer of over five years in Seattle. I tried many trainers throughout LA and struggled to find the right person. Then I met Griffin! He is listened to my needs and is extremely knowledgeable regarding all things fitness. I would HIGHLY recommend him.
