Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I am not only a vocal coach but a voice specialist working with singers, speakers, accents, feminization, masculization, damaged and injured voices and music therapies. I get the results that my students are looking for and there is improvement weekly. I am highly experienced with 43 years of teaching under my belt! Watching my students transform with tons of confidence. I love working with people and seeing them start to love their voices singing & speaking with ease, passion & delivery. It makes me proud to know that I help my students to reach their goals and gain the self confidence to sing and speak publicly. Currently I am only taking students online because of Covid-19

Singing Lessons

I’ve been working with Tricia for almost 4 years now, and highly recommend her. My voice has become stronger, I’m able to hit notes that I never thought I could, and my vocal dynamics have helped me develop my own personal vocal style greatly. My favorite part about lessons is the diverse range of genres I’ve learned. From opera to jazz, and learning songs in different languages. Tricia has also given me time to learn how to read music (sight singing), develop my ear (hearing notes and being able to repeat it back), and more. She pushes her students to practice and grow. So be prepared to do the work and reap amazing benefits. Currently I’m focusing on developing my Chest voice and learning how to sing in 3-4 part harmonies. It’s challenging and fun. Love meeting her other students from all of the world at our last virtual recital.

Working with Tricia as my voice coach for the past couple of years been invaluable. I’m able to sing now in ways that I thought were impossible for me. For instance, I used to hate singing in falsetto. Now there is so much more music that I can enjoy singing. Her years of experience and her intuitive approach combine to help you push through your psychological and emotional blocks. As a teacher, she challenges you, leavened with great sense of humor. Of course, you have to do the work to get the results, but you’ll see results and want to keep on doing the work! Her method of teaching works with whatever type of music you are interested in.

Singing Lessons (for adults)

This is the perfect fit! Tricia not only leads me to higher aspirations that I had for myself, she helped me accomplish my main goal.
Moorea Music Pele Productions's reply
Margaret has been with me since March and she has soared! Now has a YouTube channel, has increased her range incredibly and has gained control learning very difficult material. She is the kind of student I love because she is always positive, eager to learn, likes to laugh and has the passion to become great. Mahalo for being such a great student over the Internet!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I charge $150 per hour in person or over the Internet and then I have discounted packages for one hour, 45 minutes and 30 minute sessions. I charge what I am worth to people who want to only take one lesson or one lesson once in awhile. For consistency which is what you need for success, you get substantial discounts paying in advance. Example: for four consecutive weekly hourly lessons the rate can be as low as $360 which is $90 per lesson. There are larger packages as well and packages for lesser time. I run specials periodically and have some good specials running for the holiday season. My group rates run anywhere from $35-$50 per hour per person and I will travel to a group like a choir for $200 per hour.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The first thing I do after they have made a commitment with payment, is I send them a questionnaire via email. They fill that out and send it back and we make that first appointment which is generally 90 minutes. We go over the questionnaire and then I explain all the different components that make up this instrument that we will be studying and what they can expect. I test their range to see what they have naturally and what they are capable of getting, what their ear and tone are like and then I have them sing something. This is usually the hard part but I do my best to put you at ease and remind you that I am your ally and here to help and guide you. You could sing something as easy as happy birthday. This is the beginning and we go from there teaching you technique, exercises and tearing apart and putting back together songs.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I started my professional training in 1972 studying voice. Five years later I apprenticed under my master vocal coach. I graduated in 1979 from USF in music theory with a minor in marketing and have been teaching for 39 years. I have been a professional vocalist and studio vocalist for many years every type of music from classical to rock and everything else in between. I am a songwriter and have produced vocals for albums. I have toured the country in groups and bands and am in the San Francisco hall of fame.
