Hi, 1 month ago I have found some bites on my hand and they looked like bed bugs bite and me & my roommate have decided to have an inspection with a good bed bug treatment providers. I have started searching and found Herstine pest solutions which has a very good rating. So I spoke to them and we have scheduled for an inspection and they have inspected our house and confirmed that they have found the bed bugs (2) in our house. We have decided to have the treatment and we scheduled a day for treating our house and they also provided 30 day warranty with 2 follow ups. 5 days after the treatment we again found some bed bugs activities in our room and we have informed them when they came for the first follow up. We have told them clearly that we found bugs in our room again but they said that their chemicals would work up to 30 days and kill everything and they said other things but never considered what we are saying. After other 14 days they came again and we have told them again that we found bug activities in our room and they have inspected the room and they haven't found anything they said. As we told them they have sprayed some chemical in our house and they didn't even ask us to clear the things before spraying and they sprayed for 10min (I don't no where they sprayed and what they did) and left our place. But we didn't get rid of the bugs I seriously don't understand what treatment they did in our room. They didn't even listen to us during the first follow up and they told something that their chemical works for 30 days etc etc. We didn't get anything much but lost our money...Mar 21, 2017VerifiedBrian H.'s reply
Dear Krishna, I am sorry to hear that you are continuing to have a bed bug issue. We, unlike most pest control companies, do offer a 30 day warranty. Unfortunately with bed bugs, it is a warranty not a guarantee. Bed Bugs are an insect that is 100% brought in. Typically, after the initial service we reinspect and if activity is found, we retreat at that time. You ask for an additional inspection and we obliged you. Upon first inspection, no activity was found. Upon second inspection, again no activity was found. However, after speaking with you, you stated that you were getting bit once again. At your request, we retreated the baseboards and carpets in both bedrooms and living rooms. Your roommate had insisted that we treat blankets and pillows which we do not do for obvious reasons. We did advise your roommate to have the blankets washed and dried. We showed up on time each time and had to wait at least 30 minutes for tenant to gather their things and vacate. Since you were unable to be there each time, we had to explain everything to your roommate who seemed to not completely understand what the process was. Again we apologize that you continue to have this problem.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We charge for either a one-time service which is good for 30 days or a service on a regular basis (monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly) with a clean up fee on the initial service. example: A one-time for roaches in a single family home could cost $75-$125 and will come with a 30 day warranty or you could choose to go with a program like a monthly service. There could be a higher initial price like $75-$125 (this is a clean-up charge to get rid of a pest problems) then there would be a monthly cost of $35-$45 to come out once a month to treat as a preventative. One time services for bees, bed bugs, rodents etc. are the most complicated to price. They usually require an inspection of the infected area prior to giving a price.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am required to do continuing education hours annually by the Structural Pest Control Board and the Department of Pesticide Regulations.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I wanted to help people with there pest problems. After working for the larger pest control companies, and seeing the inadequate service that these companies were providing and still charging there clients, I decided to open my own company. I plan to give each client the best service at an affordable price.
