From the very beginning, Al told me, my program will only work when you're mentally ready to commit. In 2015, when I first started, I really did not know what he meant. I thought, of course I'm ready, I'm here, working out every week! And for weeks, Al trained me, would ask me how my diet was going, how my weekend went, how work was going i thought he was just chit-chatting. But he wasn't. My responses were getting old, I tried, but we had a family function and I cheated, but I'm starting over on Monday, or I had a late night meeting and couldn't workout, I was too tired, or I didn't have time to cook my meals, so I went out to eat blah, blah, blah.... Now I realize, He was gaging my commitment to my health, changing my lifestyle, etc. And periodically, he would tell me, I'm happy to train you, i know you can do it, but my program will only work if your mentally ready to commit to your health journey I think he was telling me, don't waste your money on personal training, unless you're ready to think about your health 24/7. That's what it would take. And that's when it will work. It took me 4 years to understand how important those chit-Chats were in between sets. After I left Oxnard to return to the Bay Area, I periodically tried more diets, more exercise routines, and nothing. No weight loss, still tired and overweight. I gained the weight I lost, and more. 2 years later, I called Al and said, I need your help. Can you train me from here, Long distance? He agreed and reminded me, are you ready? I said yes, but I wasn't, and I got the same result. When I reached 187 lbs., the heaviest I had ever been, I called him again 2 years after that. I said, I'm ready now. Can you train me long distance? He agreed. Asked me the same questions. But this time, 4 years later, I remembered what he meant, and Al is training me long distance. Today, I weigh 115, and am committed to the program, my health journey. No excuses. Als program works! When you come to him, be ready to commit, and he'll help you reach your goal! I'm eternally grateful Al! Thank you, for believing in me, and not giving up on me, when I gave up on myself! I'll be 55 in November, and I am the healthiest I've been in 30 years!
