I'm Mark — I've been doing handyman work and small remodels on the Peninsula for over 20 years. I work solo, which means the person you talk to on the phone is the same person who shows up at your door and does the work. I show up when I say I will, I communicate clearly, and I treat your home like it's mine. I'm a licensed B general contractor with full liability insurance.
I handle most of what comes up around a house — repairs, installs, picture hanging, furniture assembly, drywall, doors, windows, fixtures — plus bathroom and kitchen remodels. The main things I don't do are roofing and large concrete work.

Mark is one of the best carpenters I've ever met in my life. I've opened several offices recently and has to move homes a few times, and Mark's workmanship is unparalleled in my experience.
Since I hired him for this initial project, I've repeatedly returned to him for all my needs since. He's extremely well qualified for build out projects and remodels, including framing, drywall, electrical, and what seems to be substantially all possible adjacent work that can come up.

Mark was excellent! He was very kind and super efficient. I was impressed that he was able to get four projects done in only two hours, all of which have been on our to do list for months. He was very skilled at installing curtain rods, mounting towel racks, bracing furniture, and installing child locks on drawers. I'm sure his talents reach beyond these basic tasks, as well. I highly recommend him for whatever jobs are on your list!

$125/hour with a $200 minimum per trip. Most small jobs (picture hanging, furniture assembly, minor repairs) take 1–3 hours. For bigger projects like a bathroom remodel, I'll come out, take a look, and give you a written estimate before any work starts — no charge for the visit.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once you reach out, I'll get back to you quickly to talk through the project — usually a quick call is the fastest way. From there I can either give you a ballpark over the phone or come by for a closer look.
