FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our hourly rates include all labor and moving equipment (truck, dollies, furniture blankets, use of wardrobe boxes). 3-hour minimum charge. For local moves, the driving time from loading to unloading destination will be doubled (ex. 15-minute drive will be counted as 30-min). There is an additional charge for one-time-use materials used to protect your belongings such as stretch wrap, tape, and packing paper (ranges depending on material necessary). All pricing and fees will be discussed upfront. We also provide cash discount.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We gather information about your move so that we can be prepared with the right equipment and man-power on the day of your move. This also helps us provide you with the best quote. For larger size moves and long-distance moves, we can provide a free in-home estimate with flat rate so you know exactly how much your move will cost.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Information that will help your moving professionals best prepare and provide an accurate quote: 1. Type and size of your home? (Apt, house, 3 Bedroom, 5 bedroom etc.) 2. Distance from origin to destination? 3. Extra-large or atypical items to move? (Refrigerator, washer/dryer, piano, safe etc.) 4. Stairs or elevators to use? 5. Parking availability for moving truck/van? 6. Would there be an extended walking distance from the truck to your home? 7. Additional services needed such as packing, storage, or trash removal? (We can provide these!)
