Introduction: My specialty with the pro-literacy programs, classrooms, group dynamics as well as tutoring and preparing learners for testing has been reading, math and art. I also specialize in utilizing creative learning and test-taking anxiety techniques with individuals who learn differently. I realize and recognize the challenges and struggles often experienced during the learning process; therefore, communication is vital! We will establish goals and by-when dates during the initial meeting. Reaching goals and learning how to exercise your potential is most important. Students who are committed to their stated goals will do well but will be challenged with homework assignments. Completion of challenging but not overwhelming homework is a key component to the learning process for the learner as well as for the teacher/tutor. I pride myself in providing reasonable accommodations as needed, maintaining a flexible schedule and being prompt. My expectations include reciprocal respect, open communication and sharing real concerns. I care enough to give constructive feedback and expect the same from each individual I work with. My cancellation policy is a 24-hour notice for both of us. We can always reschedule for another time when we both are available. Three consecutive absences will cause for an assessment, reevaluation and redetermination. Your success is what really matters. I will always check in with you to see how things are going and hope that you will share any concerns as well. I believe in a quiet learning environment, such as a library, for best results. Distractions such as phone calls can disrupt progress. I'm looking forward to partnering with you as we diligently work towards your desired goals.
