Kevin gave my husband and I some fantastic lessons and advice for our 2 year old beagle mix, Smokey. He spent 3 hours with us going through dog psychology and helping us address basic behavioral issues, such as barking at strangers, exerting more control while on walks and establishing boundaries. He also shared some great training tools and toys. I highly recommend Bark-busters! Their tips and advice are fact-based and they actually work!Sep 30, 2019Review from GoogleBark Busters Home Dog Training's reply
Thank you so much for the review, Brittany!
If youre looking for a dog trainer in the Los Angeles area, Christen is a miracle worker! I have a 2 year old lab that still has many puppy tendencies, barking, jumping, tearing up my stuff when Im gone... We worked on her separation anxiety by using calming exercises and establishing leadership. She will be back to train more on walking without pulling the leash, but the drastic improvement in just one training is incredible! Highly recommend!!!Dec 18, 2019Review from GoogleBark Busters Home Dog Training's reply
Much appreciated, Angela! It’s a pleasure working with you.
Started meeting with Kevin a couple of months ago specifically for leash aggression and some general obedience for two five year old boys and the improvement has been dramatic to say the least. Whereas my boys were almost uncontrollable around other dogs before, simple training techniques focused mainly on body language and tone of voice have made noticeable differences within a few weeks. By keeping them focused on the walks and on my leading them, both boys have progressed more than I expected. Could not recommend Kevin and Bark Busters enough!Dec 22, 2019Review from GoogleBark Busters Home Dog Training's reply

Thank you for the positive feedback, Gloria! Happy to work with you. :)
Kevin and Christen have helped me and my dog Ginger come to a more peaceful household. First they came to the house so we could work with Ginger in her space. Ginger wasnt super into strangers being in her house at first, but they were calm and let her adapt. The first part of the training session was more to do with the hows and whys their method works. Kevin and Christen are very informative, and basically they teach you a language (both body and verbal) that your dog can understand. I was allowed to ask all the questions I needed to feel comfortable with actual training. At first in the training you might feel a little goofy talking dog. Fortunately you are in your own house and everyone is doing it. We repeated the training exercise until Ginger and I were on the same page. Next we moved on to tackle the outside world. Kevin and Christen provided a special harness and other training tools that are humane, safe, and non-painful. Overall we worked for about 3 hours and the training tools stayed with me and Ginger. What I like is that I free like I have a way to talk to my dog that doesnt feel like Im yelling all the time. This is not a treat based program, but rather a trust exercise to get you and your dog into a team. Thanks Christin and Keven!Dec 20, 2019Review from GoogleBark Busters Home Dog Training's reply

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pricing listed is for a single training session. While significant change will happen in just one lesson, some cases require more. A One-Year or Lifetime package is also available, plus a small add-on special for additional dogs in the household. Please contact for details.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We train in-home and would drive to your place of residence for the lesson. The initial training is 2-3 hours. The first half of the lesson reviews the training methodology and teaches you about the language. The second half of the lesson is typically programming exercises and/or walking practice. We can decide together if additional training would be desired and would schedule ongoing training as needed after that. It is best to have any family members present that also live in the home and care for the dog.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Bark Busters has been in business 30 years, and was started by a couple in Australia who worked with dogs that were scheduled to be put down. They mastered the language and thinking of dogs over the last three decades and have turned their proprietary skill set into a global dog training business. Each territory is owned by a franchisee that undergoes a month-long immersive training program with the founders. This includes education on the language and leadership theories, shelter work and field training. We've completed all training and worked with hundreds of dogs since.
