Introduction: Hello! My name is Lydia, I am a passionate and dedicated piano teacher with a Master’s Degree in Music. With years of experience in teaching, I have had the pleasure of helping students of all ages and skill levels embark on their musical journey. My teaching philosophy revolves around fostering a love for music while providing a solid foundation in piano technique and music writing. I believe in tailoring my lessons to meet the unique needs and goals of each student, whether they are beginners taking their first steps or advanced pianists looking to refine their skills. For young learners: I am passionate about introducing them to the piano and helping them develop a solid musical foundation. My lessons are designed to make learning fun and interactive, incorporating games, activities, and age-appropriate teaching materials. I use a variety of teaching methods to keep young students engaged, including storytelling, visual aids, and creative exercises that foster their musical development. In addition to piano instruction, I also offer music-writing lessons tailored specifically for beginners. I guide my students in expressing their creativity through composing their own music, making their learning journey even more exciting and rewarding. I offer in-person lessons within an 8-mile radius of the Pasadena area, with an additional fee of $5 for distances less than 5 miles and $10 for distances between 5 and 8 miles. Additionally, I provide the option of remote lessons for added convenience.
