Introduction: For over twenty years, Kathleen has worked with adults and children. She has an established psychotherapy and consulting practice in Petaluma, CA, where she specializes in transition and trauma, divorce, adoption, school issues, grief, and victims of crime. Kathleen has taught seminars and workshops nationwide on a wide range of clinical and social work topics for agencies, colleges, and parent groups. Currently, she is a trainer for the Bay Area Academy, a division of the School of Social Work at Fresno State University. Kathleen Adams received her Masters in Social Work in 1985, with honors from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. In 1992, Kathleen became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of California. Kathleen is the co-author of the awarding-winning therapeutic children's book On the Day His Daddy Left (Albert Whitman& Company). She produced the educational film to save a child: Preventing Suicide by Identifying Depression in Elementary School Children, narrated by Mariel Hemingway. And, she is the executive director of the non-profit teen suicide prevention organization, Five Alive. She's helping you through life's challenges.
