As a former professional photographer naturally I was very choosy about the photographer for our wedding. Needless to say we absolutely loved having Jay as our photographer and traveling companion. He's such a pleasure to be around and created an extremely comfortable rapport which is a particularly important quality in a photographer. The photos of our destination wedding were the talk of our welcome-home-wedding-party. You would not go wrong having Jay be your photographer.

When my fiancé Josh and I were able to book Jay for our engagement photos and wedding, we were beyond excited! Josh and I were pretty jittery at first, not really knowing what to expect or even how to pose! But Jay was inventive and enthusiastic, which helped us warm right up. Jay has such an incredible passion for detail and story telling through his photos. He was kind enough to shoot two engagement sessions with us which really made me happy because he was able to capture and retell our love story of how we met in the summer and fell in love in the fall. We are so grateful that he will be the one to capture the most special day of our lives, we can't wait!

My fiancé Mark and I enjoyed working with Jay. He drove two hours to Muir Woods to shoot engagement photos for us. Since Jay is an all around kind and enthusiastic guy, the photo shoot was more like a fun hike with a good friend. Mark and I were a bit nervous and shy around the camera, but Jay helped us feel comfortable. Throughout the day, Jay was always on the look out for great spots to shoot at and thoughtfully composed each shot. We received the photos soon after and they turned out to be exactly what we wanted.

Jay is a skilled photographer with a great eye! His photos are clean and classy, which is why we asked him to shoot our wedding! We loved his timeless style. We are so glad that he agreed to shoot our wedding (even though it was all the way in Canada!). Jay has an amazing personality that makes you feel comfortable/ relaxed while being photographed. He was also a great sport throughout the entire trip. Even though we were away in a foreign place, Jay quickly analyzed prime spots to shoot photos. I educate myself on the newest tech so I can have the best gear around to do the best kind work I can.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
It's been a part of me since I was a kid but really has been evolving through different mediums for a while; mostly in film. I actually started off pre-med in university years ago but didn't think I could ever be truly happy not being involved with any kind of art everyday.

Weddings, engagements, proposals, families, food and occasionally fashion.
