FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For most tutoring services, I charge $50 per hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I talk to a student about his or her interests in order to build a rapport. That way, the student will feel relaxed and comfortable asking questions. In addition, I administer a diagnostic test to determine a student's strengths and weaknesses and how these relate to the Common Core standards of the student's grade level. Furthermore, if I am helping a student with reading, I administer a diagnostic reading test in order to determine the student's Lexile reading level.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters of Arts in Teaching (2014), a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (2012), and BA in History (2008). All of my degrees were conferred by the University of California, Irvine, where I graduated cum laude after earning a Regents Scholarship.
